http://blaisesscienceblog.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html

This blog is for Mrs. M's awesome Science class! Wednesday, September 29, 2010. Reflection on Antarctic Presentation. I thought this presentation was fascinating! There were so many cool things that I learned from Mr. Watts's Presentation. I learned a lot about different animals. The seal mother comes early to give birth to a pup. Her milk is 40% fat. Super Wiener- a pup that doesn't stop feeding, usually a pup that is going to be a dominate male. Crab Eater Seals eat mainly krill. Thick fur to keep body...

David's Science blog: Moon Phases

http://davidsscienceblogishungry.blogspot.com/2011/05/moon-phases.html

There was an error in this gadget. I noticed that the parts of the moon change when the position it is to the sun changes, because before I always thought that part of the moon is blocked because there was a meteorite blocking it. We see different parts of the moon each nght because we can only see the moon when the sunlight is reflecting off it. So as the moon orbits the earth, the sunlight hits less or more of the moon, so we sometimes see a lot of the moon and sometimes we don't.

David's Science blog: June 2011

http://davidsscienceblogishungry.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html

There was an error in this gadget. Guiding Question: What are the factors that affect the appearance of impact craters? How do scientists use craters to tell the relative age of them. Hypothesis: I think that the weight and temperature will affect the appearance of the crater. The black hole is sucking in a large amount of gas and jetting it out again. If the black hole in the milky way started, that is also what it would do, except that the jet of gas it is expelling would be 40 times stronger than ...

David's Science blog: Food Irradiation

http://davidsscienceblogishungry.blogspot.com/2011/04/food-irradiation.html

There was an error in this gadget. In class we had a debate (2 people arguing for each opinion) about whether or not irradiated food was a good or bad thing. Tristan and I were were arguing for how it was good (pros), and Blaise and Julia were arguing to get rid of it (cons). In the end Cons won and our final conclusion was that:. Pros and Cons of food irradiation:. My thinking didn't really change through the debate because I still don't really care if the food is irradiated or not. I think the deba...

Roy's awesome science blog: Eclipses

http://roysscienceblog.blogspot.com/2011/06/eclipses.html

Roy's awesome science blog. This blog was designed for Science class in 7th Grade. Monday, 6 June 2011. Why do eclipses occur? In line with the Earth and the moon. The moon's orbit is actually tilted 5 degrees more than that of the Earth; otherwise, we would see a lunar eclipse each month. We can see lunar eclipses more readily than solar eclipses, and it has to do with proximity. The Moon is much closer to the Earth (well over 300 times closer than the Sun! It is quite safe to watch a lunar eclipse with...
