The Active Alston's: Julia learns to ride a bike
http://theactivealstons.blogspot.com/2014/09/julia-learns-to-ride-bike.html
Monday, September 15, 2014. Julia learns to ride a bike. A quintessential daddy duty is to teach a kid to ride a bike. Julia was ready. We have a blue bike just her size but she has been riding this BIG pink one with training wheels this summer and she wasn't gonna go back to the blue bike. Brett fondly calls her 'kermit' . http://theactivealstons.blogspot.com/2014/09/our-soccer-star.html
Saturday, September 20, 2014. Excuse the abundance of soccer photos from today's game. Julia made us proud. 6 goals (out of 7). She scored early in the game and then nothing was going to stop her. Chilling on the sidelines. So proud of herself. She is going for it! Look at those athletic looking legs! 7 on the other team is thinking, "not again! The coach and Julia have a connection. Tuesday, November 13, 2012. Mommy, Fall today? Julia is learning her seasons and every morning asks me, "mommy, fall today? Yes, why yes it is. Our neighbor Steve has the largest most beautiful trees.and boy do they drop leaves! Our neighborhood started an annual tradition last year of all getting together to pick up the leaves with him. What used to take him 6 Saturdays and 6 Sundays took the 25 neighbors 45 minutes. Wow! Look at that yard.and that is just the back yard, the front yard is the same!

Saturday, June 30, 2012. Our tough little girl broke her ankle. Poor little, Buttercup! Just an unlucky fall off of the sofa. 3 weeks in a boot.this will definitely put a wrinkle in our summer fun but as always, it could have been worse. I am so surprised that given Oli's level of activity and 'go get 'em' attitude, his sister beat him in breaking a bone. Friday, June 29, 2012. Oli made the swim team! Not sure who is more excited that Oli made the swim team.. First meet is in two weeks.stay tuned! Tyler...

WagMoreBarkLess: March 2012

Wednesday, March 7, 2012. Julia, the gym rat. This one is for you Auntie Val! Julia likes to join us in the gym and she has her routine down:. She uses the green 'flex bar' as her weight and always reracks it. Likes to have her Valband around her waist or arm. And counts randomly until she is done with the set. Not only is it adorable but allows us to get in quick workouts now and again. And it is that much more fun with her by our side participating! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). In my Kitchen = November.

Saturday, November 3, 2012. Craven Farm Pumpkin Patch. We had our first field trip with Julia's preschool two weeks ago to the Pumpkin Patch. It was an adorable patch at Craven Farm.a pretty drive 45 minutes northeast of here. There were farm animals, a short play for the kids, tractors to climb on and of course pumpkins. Fun was had by all! This is Adelle, Julia's best friend. Teacher Kym and Julia. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Valerie Waters Celebrity Trainer Body Transformation.

Friday, February 24, 2012. First time for everything! I thought it would be a few more years before Oli would be showing Brett the ropes at anything. But the time has come.the first time for both of them to 'board through the trees. Oli looks very comfortable, don't you wonder if Brett looked that comfortable? It is our life. Brett wanted to share not only how proud he is of Oli's snowboarding but the very next day, this was the email we rec'd from his teacher. Thursday, February 23, 2012. Tuesday, Febru...

WagMoreBarkLess: Pumpkin Carving
http://brett-wendy.blogspot.com/2012/10/pumpkin-carving.html
Monday, October 29, 2012. A halloween tradition - pumpkin carving! Oli was really into it this year but Julia's 2 year old tendencies didn't lend to this activity. She was not willing to stick her hand in the icky pumpkin and since we use power tools to carve the pumpkin, she couldn't really participate in that part. All to say that within about 10 minutes she was looking for another activity. Good thing Brett and Oli pushed on through to finish our 3 jack-o-lanterns. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

WagMoreBarkLess: September 2012

Sunday, September 30, 2012. A goal was accomplished today - I completed the Kirkland Triathlon! The race itself was certainly an accomlishment but more than the 1/2 mile swim/14 mile bike/5k run, it represented the fact that I have reclaimed my habit of working out. Ever since my back injury in March 2011, I have been side-lined due to the recovery and then pregnancy. But I am back! Oli ran with me to the end of the block for the turn-around and then said he would keep going with me. He turned out to...
