The Social Committee ( social@blalocklakesidepoa.org. Boats participating in the parade are asked to gather at the Lake Blalock dam in front of the marker buoys. An agreement signed between SWS and SC DNR has created the Lake Blalock Waterfowl Management Area. This went into effect as of the opening of the waterfowl hunting season on Wednesday, September 3, 2014. The ONLY area where hunting is permited on Lake Blalock is clearly defined in this map:. When the waters of the lake were raised to their current level (710'), a significant finger of land was "mostly" submerged. It is mostly because this land was just 12 to 24 inches below the surface. We (BLPOA) requested that DNR place buoys marking this finger of land. Click HERE. To see what happened.
