While giving birth to my twins (Emily and Ethan), both Ethan and I almost did not survive the delivery. Unlike his twin sister, Ethan weighed barely 680 grams (1.5 pounds) at birth and was born six weeks early. The wonderful NICU nurses were truly inspiring to watch as they lovingly took care of all the sick babies each day. Other ways to help.

Thursday, 22 May 2014. Just finished my very first rag rug and I think I might be hooked. Now you must understand, I'm a bit of a fussy quilter. I like things to measure right, sit right and fit together right. I'm all about clean lines. But working for BlanketLovez. Nevertheless, it was truly worth it, the results are impressive. AND, this is the part I love, it uses up all those pesky offcuts of batting! Next time I think I will try making one out of flannel fabrics, I think the softness would be divine.

My daughters I spy quilt is finished, quilted and bound and ready to be sent to my nephew. I love the way it turned out. And I finally finished the borders on my star quilt. oh what a relief that is!
