Vinyasa Yoga Pilates Functional Movement. Tuesday 5:00-6:30pm, Saturday 9:00-10:30am. A vinyasa style class with some alignment breakdown interspersed throughout. Expect arm balances with beginner options, simpler backbends and core work. You do not need to be flexible to attend these classes but you should be able to comfortably hold downward facing dog, or else be willing to take breaks and watch your friends as needed. 90 minutes. Is a new Yoga, Pilates and Movement studio located in Blue Hill, Maine that opened in June 2015 in the space that was previously occupied by Bella Studio and Pure Pilates. Charlotte Clews. Is the owner and primary instructor at Mountain Studio but invites and welcomes guest instructors to teach workshops and weekly classes. The studio is equipped with a full compliment of yoga props, Pilates equipment including a reformer and half trapeze and soon suspension body-weight training straps.

I chose to follow Joe Friel’s plan this year and have been enjoying the variety, inclusion of strength training (more on that in a minute) and periodic time trials to check for improvement.
