It's still quite nice, even all by its lonesome; I thank God for the beautiful little things that brighten my day. This footbridge leads to a nature trail in Waller Mill Park. It is hard to believe that seven years ago you were a teeny baby that I held incredulously in my arms. You are the one that turned me in to a mother, and that is the most amazing gift that anyone has ever given me. Oh, her eyes, her eyes, make the stars look like they're not shining. Her hair, her hair, falls perfectly without her trying. Cause you're amazing, just the way you are.

You wouldn’t know it now, but this was once the site of the second largest slave market in the US (according, of course, to ever-true wikipedia. Now it is part of a beautiful neighborhood and has a farmer’s market each Saturday. More pictures to come. On the road …. May 3, 2008.
