Saturday, August 13, 2011. Not do-able at all. Speaking of energy, fortunately, or serendipitously, our sewerage pipes blocked again! 8221; But wow! Someone came to see us and showed us plans and then to our delight and relief, Oxfam said that they could fund two specially constructed drums or they could provide us with one drum and make it a turnkey project, we of course have opted for the two and have begun to dig. Will keep you updated. Our new dining hall. There is a fire in the Village!

Nicole’s day began with a very mistrusting Thembi asking why he was given rotten food, we don’t normally eat any breakfast other than mealy meal [polenta] every morning [which is white], but have managed to buy a few bags of maltabela porridge which is a dark colour. Sunday, September 4, 2011. I received a note from Winnie Dube today, the housemother in the Home of Destiny for Zanele, Rori, Nonki, and Sarah. She thanks us for helping to pay for Rori's school fees, which is what she used the money from that we raised last March.
