My Desert Adventure: RIP/TOA
http://stimpiniraq.blogspot.com/2007/08/riptoa.html
A Brief description of my life in Iraq and the training I went through along the way. Wednesday, August 01, 2007. Ne of the many Army acronyms I’ve learned is RIP/TOA which stands for Relief in Place/Transfer of Authority. In the Navy, we just call is a turnover. Today, I am officially out of a job. My relief is fully up to speed and to coin another navy saying, “he has the conn”. Between now and Monday, I will finish packing and mailing stuff back home. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

http://stimpiniraq.blogspot.com/2007/07/fishing.html
A Brief description of my life in Iraq and the training I went through along the way. Tuesday, July 17, 2007. I know an "almost five year-old" who is in for a great time! Papa took our 3 1/2 year-old fishing a couple of months ago and they had ball! She caught 7 or 8 bream with her own little rod and reel while her little brother and I rode around the pond in the pedal boat. She still talks about that fishing trip! A Brief description of my life in Iraq and the training I went through along the way. Saturday, August 04, 2007. Or the past nine months, I’ve been serving with a Military Police Brigade in Baghdad. “Oh great”, I thought when I first got assigned here, “I’ll be working with a bunch of Cops writing tickets and checking ID cards.”. A Brief description of my life in Iraq and the training I went through along the way. Monday, July 30, 2007. Last night, I took down all of the artwork our girls made and the family pictures that had been decorating my trailer—so now I’m back to living in a box in the desert. I’m thinking about getting an volleyball and naming it Wilson to keep me company until I head some…. I'm going to get worried about you if you start spending time with Wilson!
