Explosive Eighteen | Reading Dangerously

One single gal's adventures in reading. By Rae / Bashful Fashionista. Explosive Eighteen by Janet Evanovich (Stephanie Plum #18). Rating: 3.5/5 (would have been 4 until the ending). This would have been a strong entry in the series until the ending. It seemed almost like she was sick of writing, so she just wrapped things up…but almost nothing was actually concluded. Overall this was a superfast light read that I really needed after Fifty Shades of. Fifty Shades of Grey. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Non-F...

One single gal's adventures in reading. Fifty Shades of Grey. By Rae / Bashful Fashionista. Fifty Shades of Grey. Well, I read it. Now I’m trying to sort out my feelings about it. It’s surprising to me that this book is so well liked. It’s also surprising to me that a book that’s so sexual really didn’t turn me on much at all. I’ve gotten a bigger thrill from most Harlequins. There were redeeming moments of humor, however, especially in the email exchanges between Ana and Christian. You are commenting us...

The Hunger Games | Reading Dangerously
https://readingdangerously.wordpress.com/2012/03/27/the-hunger-games
One single gal's adventures in reading. By Rae / Bashful Fashionista. I first heard about this book a couple years ago and saw the high ratings/rave reviews. I was curious, though science fiction usually isn’t my cup of tea. Then I read the plot description and thought, eh, that doesn’t sound too appealing. Then a couple months ago I saw the movie trailer and thought, hmm…maybe I was too quick to judge. Wow, was I ever! I can honestly say I’ve never read anything quite like this. The Monsters of Templeton.

One single gal's adventures in reading. 12 for ’12. By Rae / Bashful Fashionista. I need to investigate long-term career goals and what (if any) education I need to get in order to pursue them. A definite plan should be in place by the end of this year. I want to continue my work-outs and try to increase them a bit. Cut back on sugar! Make an attempt to eat healthier. I will try to keep my house cleaner. I will try to spend less money on clothes and buy only things that I really love or need. A Bookish W...

One single gal's adventures in reading. 11 from ’11. By Rae / Bashful Fashionista. 11 Reflections on 2011:. I met (and exceeded) my goal of reading 50 books in a year. I fully expected to fail, so I’m crazy proud of myself for that. I continued the exercise regime that I started in 2010, and I’ve educated myself about healthier eating options. My relationship is great. I got over the block I had against saying the l-word. Now I say it and mean it…and try not to over-analyze him saying it. 12 for ’12.
