Give As You Earn. The Breakaway Foundation (known as 'Breakaway') is a registered charity (No 1154610) that supports children and young people with bowel and/or bladder diversions and dysfunction. Breakaway began in 2006 and since then has helped over 300 families, taking them out of isolation and helping both the children and their parents to realise that they are not alone, and that others are following the same difficult journey.

Meet Sam and Sally. Sam and Sally are special dolls which have been adapted to help young children understand about the ACE procedure. Sam and Sally both have an ACE and can both be used to show young children how an ACE can look and how easy it is to self catheterise their ACE. Showing children in a way that is more child-friendly using the dolls can make a difference to their engagement and also give them the opportunity to practice for themselves.
