Thursday, December 13, 2012. Well, we finally arrived in Montana a little after 7am Mountain time. The trip took us a total of 34 hours. We had some car trouble about half way through Wyoming and then when we were about an hour away from the hotel our road in Yellowstone came to an abrupt end as it was "closed for the season." Saturday, February 1, 2014. Apostle Island Sled Dog Race Day 1. This one was a tough one. After a few days up in the cold (-18 was the lowest temp so far) of Northern Wisconsin, we were finally ready for race day. The temperature during vet checks was a crisp zero degrees. The dogs seemed anxious to run with all of the other teams around. Cookie and Spezza picking on Jax before the race! Leah with Roenick before the race! Koivu and Mandy in lead. Sunday, February 17, 2013. What an incredible experience! The streets of downtown Marquette were lined with a few thousand people and this year our dogs were ready to race!
