Homecooked Comics Festival 2015. This past weekend was the Homecooked Comics Festival. At the Northcote Town Hall. From Friday-Sunday, Melbourne hosted and presented some of the Australia's best talents in talks and presentations (Dean Rankine, Paul-Peart Smith, Dylan Horrocks, Thomas Campi, Bruce Mutard, etc). along with familiar local creators and contributors to our great scene. On the 15th of March, the BIG ARSE #4 comics launch happened. It was great chatting to some faces I hadn't seen in ages. Some really nice comics we on offer too. The Radioactive Lounge #2. Last night was the 2nd live recording of The Radioactive Lounge. Held at the wonderful All Star Comics. Store in Melbourne, it's a monthly comics podcast hosted by Lucas Testro and Larry Boxshall. I got into the city early, and while walking around the streets, bumped into one of the cool guys who frequents the local scene, Mick Rule. The special guest on the next show is non other than Ive Sorocuk (Red shirt). It was a funny and great show. I gotta get to more of these gigs.

Jase Harper's, AWKWOOD. I looked on my wall calendar yesterday, and it told me I was going to the launch of Jase Harper's new book AWKWOOD. It was held at the cool Squishface Studios. 309 Victoria St, Brunswick). Was busy selling and signing his new book. Limited edition prints by Jase Harper were also on sale. Free Comic Book Day 2015. Unless you're not into comic books, most of you would have been aware that this last weekend was Free Comic Book Day. Across the world. It was no different here in our great city of Melbourne, other than the fact that All Star Comics. Hosted the best day ever. I was honored to be selected by All Star, along with a bunch of other great Comic Artists who signed and sketched for the kids and fans who showed up on the day. Cook the man some eggs!
