The Watson Kitchen: September 2011
http://thewatsonshouse.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 29, 2011. Review Thursday- Wildefire by Karsten Knight. Wildefire by Karsten Knight. Published July 26th 2011 by Simon and Schuster Children's Publishing. Every flame begins with a spark. Despite what all the negative reviews say about the opener to this book, I loved it! Who doesn’t love a good girl smack down? I liked the Knight’s take on mythology. I don’t know much about Polynesian mythology, but after reading this book I so want to go out and learn more! My Rating: 5/5 stars.

Friday, February 1, 2013. Graduation, Babies, and Moving! Long time, I know! Lots of things have changed in the Watson household. First the hubs graduated from UT Arlington with a degree in physics. Around that time we found out that he went and got me knocked up! And of course the biggest change is our move from warm Texas to freezing Illinois. I will hopefully be back to blogging and sharing recipes again once I can bake again! But for now, that is all I have. What have Y'all been up too?

Lemon Nut Bread | Little Kitchen on the Prairie

Little Kitchen on the Prairie. Denver Potato Bake →. May 13, 2011 · 5:05 pm. I am a HUGE fan of lemon-flavored things, especially breads and desserts. So it’s not surprising that I instantly loved this lemon nut bread after the first bite. It is so moist and delicious, and the lemony glaze on top that soaks into the bread just makes it extra special. This would be perfect to make on the weekend and enjoy with a cup of coffee or tea. 1/2 cup butter, softened. 1/4 cup lemon juice. 1 Tb grated lemon peel.

Little Kitchen on the Prairie. May 18, 2011 · 10:49 am. How pretty are those flowers? Yellow is one of my favorite colors, and I absolutely love the yellow and pink flowers together. Makes me happy just looking at them. My sweet husband bought those for me the other day, and I am once again reminded of what a lucky girl I am. How many husbands regularly go about surprising their wives with flowers? I’m excited about sharing this recipe today too because it’s delicious! Or for a special weekend breakfast.
