Adventures of an Old Man: January 2011
http://oldmancrapo.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Adventures of an Old Man. Saturday, January 22, 2011. Last Saturday, to celebrate Mom’s return to California, we drove to Monterey. Monterey is down the coast from Santa Cruz. When you are at the beach in Santa Cruz and you look out over the ocean, you can see the hills behind Monterey. Two of the many major attractions of Monterey are the Aquarium and Cannery Row. Our intention was to go to the aquarium and eat at one of the many seafood restaurants on Cannery Row. The view was spectacular from our table.

Adventures of an Old Man: June 2012
http://oldmancrapo.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Adventures of an Old Man. Tuesday, June 12, 2012. I had this all prepared to post a month ago (which was still pretty late) and then did not get around to actually posting before our trip to pick up Joseph. I will go ahead and post now and then start working on posts of our trip to Guam, Pohnpei and Oahu. Charlotte loves to climb into and sit in cabinets. This is her under our TV. Madoc looking at Grandpa. After taking that photo, I showed him the photo on the camera and zoomed in on his eye. After that,...

California Crapos: October 2014
http://californiacrapos.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 29, 2014. In summary: Jonah reads and Scott eats. Seriously, Jonah will sit anywhere and everywhere to read a book. His preferred place is someone's lap, but basketball hoops will do in a pinch. John is definitely his favorite reader. John was asleep on the floor and Jonah crawled over and whacked him on the head with his book. He might not be able to talk, but he manages to communicate pretty well. We had Karen and Alan over for dinner and Jonah persuaded Grandma to read to him. Scott...

California Crapos: August 2014
http://californiacrapos.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 28, 2014. At Jonah's check-up he weighed 24 pounds and 9.5 ounces (91st percentile). Was 30 inches tall (60th percentile). And had a 19 inch head circumference (96th percentile). He's wearing almost all 18-24 month clothes. He still laughs easily for/at Scott. And gives big cheese smiles. Even though he's heavy, he's been into snuggling lately and I can't get enough. He can be such a little doll and I want to eat him up. Wednesday, August 20, 2014. He loves doing what Scott's doing.

Adventures of an Old Man: October 2011

Adventures of an Old Man. Sunday, October 23, 2011. A Truly Enjoyable Saturday. Yesterday, I went to the Children’s Discovery Museum with Katie, Ryan and Lucas. The museum is just north of San Francisco on the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge. This museum is similar to the one in San Jose except is has more fun outdoor things for little kids to do. The one in San Jose has more indoor things. We then went to an area where there were foam blocks that could be built into cool structures. This was the vi...

California Crapos: June 2015
http://californiacrapos.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 18, 2015. Alaska I: Thursday, Friday. All packed and ready to go! The boys were excited to bring their backpacks. Scott loved wheeling his own luggage. It was slow going, but helpful because we had 3 bags and the stroller. Playing during our layover: Scott plays with cars, Jonah makes new friends. Pretty typical of their personalities right now. We arrived late into Anchorage and were greeted by a moose at the airport. The cool, fresh air felt great to breath. Scott showing me his dusty bum.

California Crapos: July 2015
http://californiacrapos.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 23, 2015. Alaska V: Thursday and Friday. Our last day of the cruise was at sea, so we played on the boat. We couldn't take Jonah in the water (and were afraid to take him to childcare because if he had another bad diaper we'd be quarantined another 24 hours), but they splashed a little and loved it. We did do some mini golfing. Amazing backdrop! John's purple ball is mid hop. Giving his ball a little love tap. He did look a lot like Alan. Jonah brought a dessert for Scott. Someone in the V...

California Crapos: November 2014
http://californiacrapos.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 29, 2014. After the 50 millionth comment about Scott's crazy hair, we decided he needed to be Harry Potter for Halloween. That naturally progressed to Jonah being Dobby- causing lots of mischief, but fiercely loyal to Harry and best buddies. Plus, I thought he'd look cute in a pillowcase. I dressed them up for the Santana Row trick-or-treat with vendors and they loved it. Ouch, I think his scar is hurting. Scott is into hand holding. Jonah isn't. John helped Dobby try to keep up. Then ...
