The currency of Grace is where my song begins...: Z is for Zacchaeus, Zoo and Zebra
http://amberburger.blogspot.com/2012/05/z-is-for-zoo-and-zebra.html
Friday, May 18, 2012. Z is for Zacchaeus, Zoo and Zebra. We finished our first year of schooling two boys! Embarking on this task made me so nervous, as schooling one was tough.the thought of adding a pre-schooler to the mix was a little scary. But we made it! Thanks for tagging a long as we went. I hope you had as much fun schooling as we did! Z was, like X, stretched out over several weeks because it is so nice out side. I let the boys play and enjoy the weather. And while at the Zoo, we found a ZEBRA!

Monday, December 12, 2011. N is for Noses, Nails and Narwhals. We took the last week off to travel north, so this blog is my attempt to document our schooling from two weeks ago. (we have been traveling for 2 days and just got home tonight so.no promises but I will try my best). We talked about the profound comfort found in this verse. This verse opened a great conversation about Salvation as Titus asked about the end of the verse saying "in Christ our Lord." Our board said, "God is Faithful, You...In ca...

Sunday, April 08, 2012. Y is for Yellow, Yarn, Yelling, Yard and YUCK! Well, as you may have guessed from the lag in my blog, we like to slow WAY down in the spring so that the boys can spend plenty of time outside. We only have 18 lessons left with Titus' Math and History curriculum and all of his other subjects we will easily finish up in the next two weeks. SO for Justus' Pre-School, I just try to. So for the letter Y we spread it out over a couple of weeks. (hence the lack of blogging). For our "God ...

Sunday, February 19, 2012. V is for Volcano, Vacuum, Valentine's Day and.a mini Vacation! We had another super fun week of school. I was excited when I realized, completely unplanned, that V would land on Valentine's Day. This made for some easy V projects! For our V Bible Verse we did Proverbs 21:31b, "Victory belongs to the Lord." This was a fun and easy verse to remember,. For our "God is Faithful" board we did "God is faithful, You can be Victorious." We talked about how that might seem. For our Pre-...

Thursday, January 15, 2015. Not Sure How To Start This Thing Over So I'll Start With Books! I realize that I've not blogged in years. I also realize that unintentionally my blog became a homeschool blog. While I hope that the Letter's Of The Week. Posts are helpful and continue to encourage young homeschoolers, I do hope to move this blog forward. I have high hopes to update my profile and the photos and add tabs to separate categories with ease, but for now, if I don't just start, I never will. His Voic...

Sunday, September 11, 2011. Ducks, Dinosaurs and Doing School On The Road. I guess that is a bit of a tricky title. Do not be misled, I am not writing much about how we do school on the road in this blog but we did, in fact, school part of the week on the road. This was good reinforcement for sure! This week we did more "hands on" because I was packing us for our trip and needing him to be occupied with out my guidance. Also, it was just soooo nice out! So here are some of the D things we did:. I just bu...

http://lifeinthescruggsfamily.blogspot.com/2008/10/middle-school-football.html
Wednesday, October 29, 2008. Well football has kept us pretty busy the last couple of months. It finally finished about a week ago. It's nice to have our Thursday nights back! It's also nice to have Jamie coming home from school before I'm getting in the bed to go to sleep! He had also been going to the high school games and they finished up this week. It actually went by really fast. I can't believe the seasons already over! You can't see this, but he's facing a group of kids that are lining up!
