Miller's Muse: August 2010
http://millersmuse.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 15, 2010. This time of year it is hard to look past all of the rituals that we find ourselves involved in. Every year at this time we shop for school supplies (a ritual) to get kids ready for the new school year (another ritual). Vacations end. Older kids go off to college. This seems like an incomplete thought. Actually it is an incomplete thought. I don't normally blog this way, but I suppose that I hope someone can help me develop this idea. If it's worth developing. Wha...Everyone who ...

Miller's Muse: July 2009
http://millersmuse.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 13, 2009. We unpacked boxes. Lots and lots of boxes. Large numbers of boxes. We all got library cards at the local library. The Washingtonville, NY library is a neat little place on the National Historic Registry. We love our library. We are getting settled into our new church. It is a great church with wonderful people and sickeningly talented musicians. I moved into my office at work. I have a great office-mate. We are going to get along very well. Sunday, July 5, 2009. Do not try to drive...

Miller's Muse: October 2008
http://millersmuse.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 31, 2008. Who is really spreading the wealth around? There has been much talk about plumbers, wealth, lack of wealth, and spreading the wealth. It is time for me to weigh in on the matter. A tax hike to pay off the debt and balance the budget is acceptable. A tax hike to pay for health care for illegal immigrants, abortions, or. Anything involving people who are made choices which led to their "need". Senator Obama, how about spreading some of that wealth around? This weekend has a bit of...

Miller's Muse: April 2009
http://millersmuse.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 30, 2009. Life as a grown up. Allow me to attempt to explain. As strange as it sounds, these moments usually involve wondering about adulthood. Occasionally, I look around and wonder what qualifies me to be responsible for two kids? What qualifies me to have a house and all the other trappings of adulthood? These things bring a tremendous amount of responsibility. How did I earn that responsibility? Strange, but something I wonder about. How did I get this chair? Monday, April 27, 2009.

Miller's Muse: November 2008
http://millersmuse.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 28, 2008. The massage at this place is an additional charge, and there is no candy at the end. This is not the way a haircut should be. Very little conversation happened and what did happen was pleasant and not ridiculous. I am starting a campaign to open a Hair Saloon for Men near my home outside Chicago. I am looking for financial support. Please join me in my campaign to bring The Honorable Rebellion Among Men (the Hair Saloon slogan)to Chicagoland. Thursday, November 27, 2008. Unfort...

Miller's Muse: July 2010
http://millersmuse.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 28, 2010. The Return Of The Muse. After a nearly-year-long- sabbatical from blogging, I have returned to this great forum. The last school year was a bit overwhelming for me as I reintegrated into Army life after two years of grad school and learned how be an English instructor. I am sure that some of those tales will come out in future blogs. Feel free to comment, even critically. I enjoy stirring things up and having good discussion. Welcome to my world. Miller's Muse: May 2009
http://millersmuse.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, May 30, 2009. The Seventh Circle of Disgusting. I am not obsessive compulsive about much of anything. I do not consider myself a neat-freak by any means. I know people who are freakish about items of cleanliness and order. I am related to some of those people, but I am not one. And then there are my children. I do not understand a 15-month-old hoarding food in the cushions of his car seat as if he is preparing for the inevitable attack from North Korea. Wednesday, May 27, 2009. As it goes in th...

Miller's Muse: January 2009
http://millersmuse.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 31, 2009. I have been too wrapped up in watching the governor of our great state go down in flames this week to even blog. The world knows what happened with that mess and I have nothing to add, so I will leave it alone. Nothing blog-worthy has happened in our federal government that has driven me to blog either. Slow blog time. To everyone other than Carrie, thanks for eavesdropping on this private conversation. Tuesday, January 20, 2009. Today is a historic day. I have always love...

Miller's Muse: December 2008
http://millersmuse.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 24, 2008. I have been extremely slack in blogging lately. I finished the school semester a couple of weeks ago and have spent most of my time since then attempting to stay warm (yes, it is officially Snivel Level 4) and shoveling snow. I have a list of thoughts percolating that I will post to the blog over the next few days. Until the next post, be safe, stay warm, be thankful, and remember the reason we celebrate Christmas. Monday, December 15, 2008. I do not consider a person guilty...
