In the short run...: February 2011
http://micjohrob.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
In the short run. Thursday, February 17, 2011. On our recent visits to Tamara and Jack, I was curious about the history behind some of the interesting street names, including Bethany Home Road. Their ward bears the same name. I finally took some time to look into it. The Bethany Home Road led to the Bethany Home near what is now 15th Avenue. The home was a tuberculosis sanitarium operated by a religious organization in the early 1900's. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). There I was minding my own business.

Jots and Tittles: Summer Plans Follow Up
http://jotsandtittlesjanetlaw.blogspot.com/2010/05/summer-plans-follow-up.html
Saturday, May 22, 2010. Summer Plans Follow Up. I think that sounds good. I should be able to go next year because Ill be done with my masters AND my school is going to be 9 month next year. May 22, 2010 at 4:00 PM. I think that is a good idea. This year probably would not work for me but if I knew a year in advance and could plan for next year I could probablt make it work. Andrew, Liz and Abby Orton - Family Blog: August 2010
http://andrewandlizorton.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
There is a direct relation between Abby Orton and Grandma smith. I'll have you know, that you can be worry free. Abby IS RELATED TO GRANDMA SMITH. Why do you say that, you ask? Andrew and Liz Orton. Thursday, I got a call at 5:40 PM from an unknown number on my cell phone. I usually don't pick up, but it was a local number and I felt like I should. I picked it up, lo and behold, it was the missionaries. They had an appointment with a lady in my neighborhood at 6:00 pm. Talk about last minute! I got to th...

Writers of Rohan: November 2014
http://www.jaredandmary.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Jared and Mary muse about everyday life. Sunday, November 30, 2014. I’ll preface this by saying that this happened at the beginning of September. (But it resembles my life today with some similarities, but more on that later.). And that’s when I found his head wound. And the blood on the floor and her bed. His head was tender for a few days, but he is just fine. I can see a little spot on his head where the scab was and where there isn’t as much hair, but that is all that remains. 8221; (a slightly modif...

Writers of Rohan: Well, That Was Traumatic

Jared and Mary muse about everyday life. Sunday, March 29, 2015. Well, That Was Traumatic. It started with a cat. We’ve been having some pretty nice spring weather lately; on Wednesday afternoon, Timothy decided to go out on the deck after school and enjoy some sunshine. What he didn’t plan on was a cat that knocked the dowel back into the sliding glass door track, effectively locking him outside. He replied, “Good. You can take Sarah to the E.R.”. We trundled off to the E.R. at around 7 pm They ...Sarah...

Jared and Mary muse about everyday life. Sunday, January 18, 2015. Here is part two of our Christmas day. We spent the day with the Lawrence family, and enjoyed the new remodeling of Richard and Suzanne’s home in Brigham City. Fortunately the weather was wet, but not too bad on the drive. We chatted and played some before dinner. And we all fit in the dining room, if only barely. After dinner, many of the grandkids went outside to play in the snow, of which there was plenty. And some other moments. She w...

Writers of Rohan: The Little Things
http://www.jaredandmary.com/2015/06/the-little-things.html
Jared and Mary muse about everyday life. Wednesday, June 10, 2015. Really, it is the little things that make one happy, and in this instance, it was the little things that drove me crazy. This is how my pantry was set up when we moved in. (Minus a few more layers of that floral covering stuff that was on all the shelves at one point. I may have ripped some of it off.). Jared looked at the shelves, did some planning and measurements, and came up with an alternative. If you look closely, you can see that s...

Tamara's Gabbings: Pi Day π = 3.14
http://tamararobertson.blogspot.com/2012/03/pi-day-314.html
Wednesday, March 14, 2012. Pi Day π = 3.14. Today is Pi day! 160; If you asked Brent, he could tell you what. Π equals out to the 20th decimal place. In honor of Pi day, Jack and Carmela and I thought we would have pies delivered to Brent, Dad, and Daniel. It was quite adventurous. Should I have it delivered to their condo? 160; Then…. a text from Daniel. “I got the pie. Thanks and Happy Pi Day! 8221; Did he get the pie after all? Thanks to Jocelyn for sleuthing. 160; No pie at all? 160; 7-11.&#...
