Dirt Merchant: So long, Facebook!
http://dirt-merchant.blogspot.com/2014/08/so-long-facebook.html
Monday, August 18, 2014. So long, Facebook! I don't miss it one bit. Opening Safari and seeing Facebook as my home page, scrolling through pages of postings. Some interesting, some not, some thought provoking and some enraging. Then there are the memes. And don't get me started about the articles or videos with headlines that read something like, ". and you won't believe what happened next! You're right, I can't believe it. I can't believe I wasted my time looking at that. Sites I Frequent Regularly.

Dirt Merchant: March 2010
http://dirt-merchant.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 4, 2010. It's a bit shameful to admit, though I am proud to announce nonetheless, that today I did all my errands via my bicycle. I have gone for a day or more without driving anywhere and I have planned my trips in the van so as to minimize unnecessary miles, but today is the first time those two green ideas have merged. By the way. all the eggs survived the ride home. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Sites I Frequent Regularly. View my complete profile.

Dirt Merchant: November 2010
http://dirt-merchant.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 30, 2010. The Amazing Journey Pt. 1. There is nothing in Kansas. Nothing. Crossing the state line into Colorado. My first Colorado sunset. Beginning the climb, looking East. Denver skyline in the distance. A place called Red Rocks. There's a theater there. You may have heard of it. Snow-capped peaks in the distance. Sunday, November 14, 2010. That price was suffering for a full hour as opposed to the 40-45 minutes for the B racers. Until about three days before the pre-registration ...

Dirt Merchant: Fruits of your Labors
http://dirt-merchant.blogspot.com/2010/12/fruits-of-your-labors.html
Saturday, December 18, 2010. Fruits of your Labors. Snowshoeing through Virginia Meisner Sno-park. My workshop, where the magic happens. I have been tightening my belt and my pockets are shallow, but that does not mean that fun can't be had. I have not driven my van since I got here. Instead, every errand and every trip has been by bicycle. There is a great feeling of satisfaction getting where you need to go under your own power. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Dirt Merchant: October 2010
http://dirt-merchant.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 5, 2010. There's been a lot going on lately. Only my closest friends know exactly what's happening. and only my closest friends read this (I think), so I won't explain at length the details. Money, as much as I dislike the concept and choose to not let it control me, has become a problem. But my excitement was short-lived because when I saw the orientation of the text, I realized that my number was indeed 9. Not bad, though. 3 goes into 9 3 times, so 3 3=6 and 9-3=6. See?

Dirt Merchant: Happy New Year
http://dirt-merchant.blogspot.com/2011/01/happy-new-year.html
Tuesday, January 11, 2011. Laura and Matt, climbing Burma Rd. The view from the top of the Burma climb. Too bad the camera can't capture emotion. A fun, bench cut out-and-back that traversed a ridge. Awesome. The setting sun and the Deschutes River make the backdrop for the end of an amazing ride. February 7, 2011 at 1:45 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Sites I Frequent Regularly. Dirt Merchant: CX Nats
http://dirt-merchant.blogspot.com/2010/12/cx-nats.html
Monday, December 13, 2010. My athlete, out near the front. It has been an intense weekend as well as the few days leading up to the Cyclo-cross National Championships in Bend, OR. I arrived here in town only two days after completing the Bill Woodul Race Mechanics Clinic in Colorado Springs and now it was my chance to put everything I learned to use while taking on the role of being Laura Winberry's mechanic. I was screaming my head off at this point! IN BOTH OF YOUR FACES! Oh and of course I got in on a...
