Nan's Notes: Herman Park & Interesting Art
http://nanbrewer.blogspot.com/2014/05/herman-park-interesting-art.html
Saturday, May 3, 2014. Herman Park and Interesting Art. Jerry and I like to get out to different spots around the City for our "long walks" on the Sundays we're in town. The relatively new hike and bike paths around Buffalo Bayou downtown are a favorite, as is the path around Herman Park - with a detour across the suspension bridge near the golf course. You never know what you're going to see on these adventures and while we don't know anything about this "rope art", we thought it was pretty cool!

Nan's Notes: November 2013
http://nanbrewer.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 9, 2013. The Inn at Dos Brisas. We had a great time at the Inn at Dos Brisas with the executive team of Jerry's bank. They needed to have an off-site strategy session and we all wanted to go out to Chappel Hill and stay at Dos Brisas, so we combined the two for a fun 24 hours . wish we could have stayed longer. We arrived and had a nice lunch in the dining room, then "the girls" hung out on the patio until check-in time while "the guys" were in a meeting.. Poor Photo by Waiter). Each ...

Nan's Notes: March 2014
http://nanbrewer.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 30, 2014. Just a few cute photos of the boys . hanging out around the house. Chillin' in the Shade. Now that's a big cat! And taking a nap! Posted by Blog Manager. We've had UofH football tickets at the original Robertson Stadium for years, but this past season was played at Reliant while the new UofH stadium was under construction. To prepare season ticket holders for the purchasing process - quite the ordeal - they offered tours since the new stadium is very different than the old one.

Nan's Notes: July 2013
http://nanbrewer.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 28, 2013. As I've already mentioned, we met a Director of Jerry's bank for dinner and a show in San Antonio. At their recommendation, we stayed at Hotel Havana - a 27 room hotel originally built in 1917 by a local grocer as a "residence hotel" for his buyers, when they were in town. After our last experience at the Hilton Palacio del Rio this was a welcome change! Saturday morning we were up early for a long walk on the Riverwalk . Artist's Exhibit Under Freeway! Lily Pond Along the Riverwalk.

Nan's Notes: August 2013
http://nanbrewer.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 31, 2013. It's another "social media Sunday" and I'm catching up on all the exciting and mundane. Caused us to reconsider and then so many other issues needed attention it got moved to the back burner and then to the back of our consciousness. I cannot even begin to describe this process - and Jerry did try to help them for a while - but they had a system of using various tools combined with brute force to move the tree. And indoors, the cats couldn't have cared less . Now Silvo and his ...

Sunday, April 20, 2014. Running Hard in the Big Easy. Less than a week after returning from The Masters, we were on the road again - headed to New Orleans for Crescent City Classic! Engine of our Plane with the Fred Hartman Bridge in the Background. Approaching New Orleans with the mighty Mississippi ahead. I know this weather looks ominous, but it was actually fine when we landed! We love New Orleans and we love staying at the Ritz - what a lovely hotel. Race morning . so after Capitol 10K and walki...

Nan's Notes: SEVENTY
http://nanbrewer.blogspot.com/2014/05/seventy.html
Tuesday, May 6, 2014. Could this man really be 70? It was a mild celebration - he didn't want to make a big deal about it - so we had a great dinner at Brennan's and then Norma dropped by with some balloons that Elvis enjoyed as much as Jerry. Nan's Notes: February 2014

Monday, February 24, 2014. 2014 Salt Grass Trail Ride - Day 3. After questioning our sanity for committing to ride another 18.2 miles on Monday, we were renewed after getting a good night's sleep in our own beds. Brenda drove Joe and I to the outskirts of Chappell Hill where the riders were camped and we began again. You can see where this is going. Lynn Burns, Joe and me. It was a very nice ride - beautiful trail - but the cold front was coming in early and the weather had turned cold and windy with blo...

Nan's Notes: Skinner Farm
http://nanbrewer.blogspot.com/2014/10/skinner-farm.html
Monday, October 13, 2014. Sunday morning, we headed to Rockdale to refresh the flowers on my parents and grandparents graves and to visit with Uncle Bo and Ed, who were having their monthly work weekend at the farm. We met at the Mexican Restaurant for breakfast and then headed to the cemetery in town. Red was Grandma's favorite color! The little greenish ones in the center were just an accent. Since the older flowers still looked nice, we "recycled" them and perked up Mama West's grave too. Posted by Bl...
