http://brewlocal.blogspot.com/2010/04/stillwater-single.html

A journey towards the New American Beer. Wednesday, April 21, 2010. Brian's version of a Belgian single has a solid malt bill with a solid amount of hops. Total Grain (Lbs): 9.13. Anticipated OG: 1.048. Anticipated SRM: 3.6. Anticipated IBU: 24.8. Brewhouse Efficiency: 74 %. Wort Boil Time: 90 Minutes.

The City Brewer: NHC 2010 Results

http://citybrewer.blogspot.com/2010/04/nhc-2010-results.html

Wednesday, April 28, 2010. So this year, I was a bit bummed not to make it back to Philly to judge again in the NE region of the NHC. However, I did enter three beers. I thought these would be my three best I've made in the passed year. I entered: Christmas Saison, Funky Belgian Stout (tasting to follow in a few days, recipe unfortunately lost), and my Oat Wine. Said the roast was lacking but the wild yeast was great. The other said "don't change anything! May 3, 2010 at 12:19 PM. May 4, 2010 at 2:16 AM.

The City Brewer: Beer and non Beer news

http://citybrewer.blogspot.com/2010/05/beer-and-non-beer-news.html

Tuesday, May 11, 2010. Beer and non Beer news. Just a quick post to talk about some upcoming brews. I'm still really excited to get all the carboys filled! Now I've started building up the pack and I may still do a Blackberry, all Brett L wheat, but probably another week or so away. The other big news is I got engaged! Other than that, I have some plans to knock out a Americanized mild this week and a Belgian Barleywine with the cake from the " Saison. Or Oud Bruin,. I'll see which seems more ready.

The City Brewer: Long Aged Homebrews

http://citybrewer.blogspot.com/2010/04/long-aged-homebrews.html

Wednesday, April 14, 2010. Anyone else have good/bad results with an aged beer, hopefully something over a year or so? As an aside to photog snobs, I know the white balance is off, but I really like the strong blue tint I got to this shot). April 14, 2010 at 7:29 PM. The clove is only in the flavor. The aroma is still what you might expect from a tasty bourbon/oak/vanilla stout.). But its sooo delicious! April 15, 2010 at 2:14 AM. Jaymo, Im curious whether the clove came from a brett infection? I dont th...

Wednesday, May 20, 2009. First Time Kegger and Oud Bruin. Wyeast 3763, US05. American Soft White Wheat. Brewed by myself as usual. O2'd a little less than normal to stress the bugs. Fermenter sitting at 65 degrees ambient. Seriously bottled this one today. Shot for 2.3 vols of CO2 with an addition of ...
