The Beer Bitch Craft Brew / Beer Review: Odell Brewing Co.: Myrcenary Double IPA
http://brewreviewer.blogspot.com/2011/03/odell-brewing-co-myrcenary-double-ipa.html
Tuesday, March 29, 2011. Odell Brewing Co.: Myrcenary Double IPA. 800 East Lincoln Avenue. Fort Collins, CO. Intense waves of tropical fruits. Grapefruit, mango and peach dominate the hop profile and aroma. Maybe a slight sweetness detectable. In all, fantastic! Very clear and definitely filtered. Color is a light gold that is on-par with Surly's Abrasive. A light body. Slightly drying finish, but not much at all. Finishes clean. Labels: Odell Brewing Co. May 18, 2011 at 7:43 PM. The Beer Bitch Craft Brew / Beer Review: Central Waters Brewing Co.: Illumination Double IPA
http://brewreviewer.blogspot.com/2011/03/central-waters-brewing-co-illumination.html
Thursday, March 24, 2011. Central Waters Brewing Co.: Illumination Double IPA. Central Waters Brewing Co. This is my re-review of this beer. I last had and reviewed this beer on September 13, 2010 ( review here. The fruity hop characteristics hit my nose first, then a little underlying pine. A fairly clear beer with just a touch of haze, most likely from the hopping. Last years 6 month old beer was extremely hazy ( 2010 photo. Labels: Central Waters Brewing Co. The Beer Bitch Craft Brew / Beer Review: Cantillon Brewing Co.: Rose de Gambrinus
http://brewreviewer.blogspot.com/2010/05/cantillon-brewing-co-rose-de-gambrinus.html
Thursday, May 13, 2010. Cantillon Brewing Co.: Rose de Gambrinus. Rue Gheude Straat 56. Very fruity with big raspberry aromas. This reminds me of the. New Glarus Raspberry tart. Just the appearance of this beer invites me to drink it! Bright red in color,tiny-bubbled, one fingered rose-colored. Head with bubbles racing to the top - very effervescent. The raspberry forward aroma dominates, but not in the flavor. The tartness starts at the front of the tongue, raspberries. On the back of the tongue. Firest...
The Beer Bitch Craft Brew / Beer Review: New Glarus Brewing Co.: Dancing Man Wheat
http://brewreviewer.blogspot.com/2010/08/new-glarus-brewing-co-dancing-man-wheat.html
Monday, August 2, 2010. New Glarus Brewing Co.: Dancing Man Wheat. New Glarus Brewing Co. 2400 State Hwy 69. New Glarus, WI. Dancing Man Wheat is a Hefeweizen, the bottle states it is a true Hefeweizen that is 100% bottle fermented. Just like the Hefe's in Germany I've had, the aroma is spot on with of banana and clove esters. A nice medium body, as most Hefe's. As noted earlier, a little tartness on the back end, like true German Hefeweizens. Brings me back to Munich! Labels: New Glarus Brewing Co.
The Beer Bitch Craft Brew / Beer Review: Central Waters Brewing Co.: Illumination Double IPA
http://brewreviewer.blogspot.com/2010/09/central-waters-brewing-co-illumination.html
Monday, September 13, 2010. Central Waters Brewing Co.: Illumination Double IPA. Central Waters Brewing Co. Very malty for a Double IPA. Surprisingly little hop aroma. Slightly reminds me of a barleywine. Some citrus, but very little. A quite cloudy orange. This beer looks like it could be a wheat beer. The taste is pretty malty up on the front of the tongue. Midway through, the hops show themselves. At the back end, it turns really hoppy and dry. Earthy hops as well as citrusy hops. Cigar City Brewing Co.

Beach Brewings: April 2010
http://beachbrewings.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 25, 2010. Kegerator Build - Part Three. I know I know. I've been super slow on this. I keep having to wait for parts or different parts, or other different parts to get this thing together. Currently. One problem I ran into is apparently no single place in the country had stainles steel shanks in stock! I've also found a super cheap place to have my aluminum CO2 tank refilled. R and D's Fire Control. From what I've read most places would charge you $10-$15. I've fit the well nut onto the wi...

Beach Brewings: July 2009
http://beachbrewings.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 15, 2009. So I haven't posted in a while, however there's a reason for that. We haven't made any beer! I feel like quite a slacker. The last beer we did make was the Lagerhead Turtle. However the fermentation didn't exactly go as planned. So now I should probably call this beer Alehead Turtle. From the rackings I tasted on the secondary transfer, it tasted quite good. We shall see. Sometimes it's better to be lucky then good. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Beer of the Day.

Thursday, June 24, 2010. Strawbeery Beach Blonde Ale Brew Day. Here's a few pics from the Strawbeery Beach Blonde's brew day! I use a thin mesh paint straining bag to control the hops in my boil. It really cuts down on the trub going into the fermenter. There is a trade off though, with a minor decrease in hop utilization. Mother Earth Brewing's cellerman Pete (Do you have my business card? Tuesday, January 26, 2010. Brother John's Abbey Ale. A couple months back, John E and I discussed putting together a nice winter ale. While what we experience in North Carolina doesn't really resemble winter, I was up to the challenge. The style I chose to go with is 18C - Belgian Trippel. The term dubbel, trippel, and quadruple are referring to the amount of malt in the brew. Trippel for example will generally see trippel the amount of fermentable sugars then your regular ale. Tuesday, June 23, 2009. I prefer to use liquid yeast in all my brews. While dry yeast will give you enough viable yeast in a dry packet, it doesn't have the consistency from batch to batch that liquid yeast does. However there is a price difference between liquid yeast ( $7) and dry yeast ( $1). In order to start saving a bit of cash, I've decided to start washing my yeast. Seperating Trub in Carboy. Seperating Trub in Gallon Jars. The yeast will eventually settle to the bottom of the pint jars in the sa...

April 3, 2006. Ephemere Printemps Apple Ale. 8212; brewreview @ 6:13 pm. Guinness Girl and Oy Vey. Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. Ale made with apples, ale and Curacao. This beer is weak. Kinda lame, really. The description sounds heavenly, but it leaves you high and dry. Starts out like a cider and ends like a Perrier. Light, semi-sweet, fairies! We wanted to like this beer, we really did. And the cute fairy on the bottle is seriously adorable. April 1, 2006. 8212; brewreview @ 3:25 am. This is ...

The Brew Review Crew. Roommates Reviewing Microbrews in Search of the Perfect Beer. Magic Hat – Number 9. September 8, 2010. Magic Hat Number 9. South Burlington, VT. A sweet fruity smell that is pretty prevalent. Apricots, citrus, maybe some lemons. Incredibly odd, yet still pleasant, refreshing and smooth. I’m not quite sure I’ll ever understand what the number 9 is made of, but that doesn’t matter to me. It is a quality and complex brew, which deserves recognition. You might also like:. I wasn’t...
The Beer Bitch Craft Brew / Beer Review
Tuesday, April 12, 2011. Cigar City Brewing Co.: Humidor IPA. Cigar City Brewing Co. 3924 West Spruce St. Suite A. Wow, cedar totally dominates! There are some hints of spices, almost like a saison. Pure copper hued. This beer is bottle conditioned, so it pours a massive head. Highly carbonated. The first thing tasted is cedar. Heavy, heavy cedar! The hops briefly show themselves before the cedar regains dominance. Light to medium body, pretty darn dry. Labels: Cigar City Brewing Co. Fort Collins, CO.

Brew Review for You | A blog for the novice in the world of microbrews
A blog for the novice in the world of microbrews. Brew Review for You. May 14, 2012. This is the first IPA I’ve reviewed and for me it’s a bit of a struggle to try and sell people on the IPA’s. For starters even the most mild IPA’s are still too bitter for the novice beer pallet. May 2, 2012. Well today’s a really dreary day and it’s making me feel so lazy. Stay and have a drink with Brew Review! Read reviews, discuss, enjoy! Wednesday, December 1, 2010. Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale 2010. Is it weird that lagers are best in warm weather (they're cold brewed) and ales are best in cold weather (and they're warm brewed)? Maybe a little weird? OK, not really weird at all. But, funny. Weird, funny, or otherwise, the winter seasonals are among us -it's time to start drinking! I guess I'll just have to buy more! So, go celebrate! Tuesday, November 16, 2010. These...
