Anchor Our Special Ale Tasting →. December 14, 2011 · 4:30 pm. Thoughts on IPA (and Other Hop-Forward Ales). It seems more and more people are associating it with good beer. Where it once was that Bell’s Amber Ale and Oberon were considered their flagships, Bell’s Marketing Director, Laura Bell, is quoted in the new issue of Michigan Beer Guide. When people find out that I make beer, usually the next thing they ask is “So, do you make IPAs? Anchor Our Special Ale Tasting →. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Thoughts on IPA (and Other Hop-Forward Ales). New Year, New Brew →. December 23, 2011 · 10:28 pm. Anchor Our Special Ale Tasting. 2010 Our Special Ale. Appearance: Pours a deep mahogany with burgundy highlights and a tan head. The head quickly recedes into still, beautiful lacing. Aroma: Smells sweetly of tangerines, dark chocolate, cola, clove. It’s similar to Dr. Pepper, though more complex, warm, and deeper. 2011 Our Special Ale. Flavor: My first impression is that it’s roastier and earthier tha...

The Hundredth Sheep | HAM Slamwich

This entry was posted on December 9, 2014, in Religistuff. Today’s Gospel reading. Most people tend to have their major turnarounds when they’ve been at their lowest. John the Baptist was baptizing people in the desert. Just think about that for a second – amid a desert where there is so little, he found a river to baptize the grungiest most unsavory people of society. This Advent season I started to read Made to Crave. Pray on it. Stressed? Give it to God. Lonely? Talk to the Lord. You know what? If it ...

Yak and Yeti Brewpub: December 2012
http://theyakandyeti.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Yak and Yeti Brewpub. Hand-crafted beers that go well by themselves and pair nicely with our Indian/Nepalese cuisine. Friday, December 14, 2012. It’s like a Pilsner, but with Belgian ale yeast and a mix of German hops and Belgian-styles hops. The most famous Belgian Pilsner is Stella Artois. But this is truly a lager and doesn’t have any Belgian character, it might as well be brewed by Budweiser…wait, it is, they are both owned by AB-InBev. The Yak and Yeti’s Belgian Pilsner. Hamanum Excitement | HAM Slamwich

This entry was posted on November 5, 2014, in Religistuff. I was feeling really down this morning when I saw the election results, and noticed Missourians voted to hold the governor personally liable for budget deficits and to hold people’s past crimes against them when facing sentencing for a new crime. How are people so vengeful! It’s really sad. His talking about going against the tide of popular culture to live our lives in a way that won’t lead to ruin really reminded me of these quotes:. Shut up about Barclay Perkins: Refined sugar vs invert sugar
http://barclayperkins.blogspot.com/2009/06/refined-sugar-vs-invert-sugar.html
Shut up about Barclay Perkins. Monday, 1 June 2009. Refined sugar vs invert sugar. This is a good one. I've seen it argued by homebrewers that brewing sugars are a waste of money. The line of reasoning goes that you may as well use table sugar as this will be inverted in the wort by invertase excreted by the yeast. Sounds reasonable enough. But hang on a minute. Why the hell do breweries use invert brewing sugar if it's just the same as cheap refined sugar? Isn't sugar just sugar? 1 June 2009 at 00:58.

Shut up about Barclay Perkins. Wednesday, 3 August 2011. Let's Brew Wednesday - 1930 Whitbread AK. On time again. Will wonders never cease? Today is the beginning of our AK series. Not sure how long it will last as I can't recall exactly how many of these little devils I have. Whitbread already brewed three Pale Ales: PA, IPA and TA. All were stronger. Here they all are in a pretty table. Whibread Pale Ales in 1930. That's me done for this time. Over to Kristen . . . . . 8211; The dry or the wet Whitbrea...
