A Briar in Tyria. Adventures in Guild Wars 2. September 21, 2012. It’s all in a day’s work. My god, I am tired. I can’t possibly say how tired. This week I have finished a 17,000-word dissertation, completed a big deadline at work, dealt with an unwell child, and notched up two dungeons, some world versus world, a spot of exploration and some fine new colours in my dye collection (and missed the search for the dread pirate Penzan). Why didn't the game stick? Hard to say. I can only speak for myself but it had something to do with the lack of freedom. The game was very scripted - and although this is great if you love the storyline, once the storyline is over there's little to return for. But we're all still knocking about!
