Over the next 36 years the library collection grew to approximately 20,000 items, and once again the library was out of space for the collection and for other services, such as children, teen and adult programming. The long time BPL location at the Penn Central Station on Railroad Street was sold to the Bridgeville Historical Society in 2011. Mon-Th: 10 am - 8 pm.

The library is seeking volunteers to shelve books and other library materials and assist with programs and special events. Continued hours are subject to mutual agreement between the volunteer and library staff after a training period. All adult volunteers are required to obtain Criminal Record and PA Child Abuse History clearances prior to acceptance.
