My Life as a Colorectal and Breast Cancer Survivor. How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings. Psalm 36:7 KJV. 1 But now, this is what the LORD says—. He who created you, O Jacob,. He who formed you, O Israel:. Fear not, for I have redeemed you;. I have summoned you by name; you are mine. 2 When you pass through the waters,. I will be with you;. And when you pass through the rivers,. They will not sweep over you. Because he lov...

It's a New Year! 2012 wasn't so bad; I've heard many people say how glad they are to see it go, but for me it was a pretty good year! The best part (besides being cancer-free still! Was baby Selah being born in October. It is such a joy to have another baby around. She is growing fast now and things are changing quickly! She's got the cutest smile and dimples too! The next thing to work on is my weight. I really want to l...

Under the Oaks: December 2012
http://under-the-oaks.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
My Life as a Colorectal and Breast Cancer Survivor. Monday, December 3, 2012. I had my colonoscopy today and it's all clear! I'm good for FIVE years! Last time it was 3 years, and now I've advanced to 5. I am so glad, because the prep was really rough. A person who has had 18" of their colon removed responds differently to the prep. Next time the prep will be modified to avoid all the painful cramping! I'm just so glad it's over with. It's been a miserable 2 days! Hubby turns 50 soon! Colon cancer can be...

My Life as a Colorectal and Breast Cancer Survivor. Tuesday, October 7, 2014. Oct 2014: Summer's Gone; Fall is Here! I've been thinking of writing this blog post since the end of August! How many of you thought that if you get cancer, and it hasn't spread, that you go through some treatments that make you sick and lose your hair, and then when you are finished you go on your merry way- never to think about cancer again? Mine is raised too! And pray it never happens to you! Thankfully, those days are gett...

My Life as a Colorectal and Breast Cancer Survivor. My journey so far:. To get to the beginning). In February, before I went back to work, I had my routine mammogram. (To start reading my blog at this point, click here. For some reason I was nervous, and really felt like I was going to get a call back to come in for more pictures. My Life as a Colorectal and Breast Cancer Survivor. Tuesday, February 26, 2013. Feb 2013 Visit With Oncologist. Saw my favorite Dr. today! Dr J, my oncologist, had a "Fellow' with him, as usual. Dr. J points out to the Fellow all my oddities. Gee, glad I could be of help! But I was trying! I will stay away from raw carrots (because I know they are a problem), and nuts and seeds. I think tomato sauce might be a problem too, so I'm going to try to avoid that for awhile. Love and blessings to all! Update on...

And if you have these problems you'll know not to wait and get it checked out ASAP! I'm holding up ok. This has all happened so fast! Today wa...
