Nature in Watercolor: Into Spring
http://laurawinslow.blogspot.com/2015/03/into-spring.html
Friday, March 20, 2015. Heading into Spring makes me excited to paint flowers and also plodding along with the nature book, while listening to the birds and their spring mating calls. Opening windows for fresh air! It's all changing. And I am inspired! Those little ducklings are SO cute! March 20, 2015 at 5:47 AM. Beautiful. I see, the text is partially over the images. Greetings from Austria. Ich sehe, der Text liegt teilweise über den Bildern. Grüße aus Österreich, Ernestus. March 23, 2015 at 12:49 PM.

On the Easel: Moonrise
http://etorak.blogspot.com/2008/12/moonrise_26.html
Friday, December 26, 2008. On December 12, 2008 the full moon was supposed to be the largest in decades (don't ask me why or how - maybe Dana Wigdor knows). I'd been nursing an idea for a painting of the Mettowee valley flooded with moonlight and dotted with fire as part of my AOA proposal so when George Bouret (of Game Supper photography fame) e-mailed me the news about the December 12th moon and asked if I wanted to join a group hike to the top of Mt. Haystack to see it I jumped at the chance. That see...

Wednesday, November 26, 2008. Links to this post. Labels: Art of Action. Friday, November 21, 2008. My project is going to be about the community of Vermonters. It was my friend Eric Mach who inadvertently pushed me in this direction. He was the guy who told me he was optimistic about the future of Vermont because of the people. That really stuck with me and ultimately changed my focus - I had been leaning towards doing something about preserving the landscape. Links to this post. Bout time I posted some.

On the Easel: March 2010

Saturday, March 06, 2010. 8220;This notion of Emptiness thus.concludes that all known realities are constructed realities whose identities are merely intellectual conveniences used to order the world so that it can be understood.”. From Buddhism by Kevin Trainor. I gave my friend the option to choose either painting and she chose the first one, the realistic one. I was left with the semi-abstraction and after awhile I copied it and did a larger version. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
