To MBA or Not to MBA: Introduction
http://tombaornot.blogspot.com/2006/07/introduction.html
To MBA or Not to MBA. Ruminations on the quest for an mba. Friday, July 28, 2006. I have been struggling with the 'To MBA or Not to MBA' question for years now, though normally it hits me in September when it's really too late to do much about it. I don't think I actually. Ready before, and I just might finally be ready this time . or not, but at least I may have enough time to get a decent application together this year . or not. Yesterday, after reading MBA blogs non-stop (especially. University of Chi...

BCC145 - My Road to MBA: Big W Interview
http://bcc145mba.blogspot.com/2007/12/big-w-interview.html
BCC145 - My Road to MBA. Thursday, December 6, 2007. I had my interview this afternoon and it feels like a month already! Tell me about yourself. What are your goals? Why MBA, Why Wharton? In addition to what we talked about, what else would you like our Admission Committee to know? What high school did I go to? What do your parents do? Where are your brothers? What are they doing now? Even 'Why do you think your company choose to have its regional office here? To be honest I had no idea and I wasn't exp...

BCC145 - My Road to MBA: 'I Love to Consume. Consuming Is My Specialty'
http://bcc145mba.blogspot.com/2007/12/i-love-to-consume-consuming-is-my.html
BCC145 - My Road to MBA. Tuesday, December 4, 2007. I Love to Consume. Consuming Is My Specialty'. I found the following interview for a NY fashion magazine posted on gmatclub. Natasha Mitra, Private Equity Associate. Interviewed by Amy Larocca. How old are you? Was the bag expensive? They’re D&G. I was really excited to find them. They’re wild and crazy and different. What do you do for a living? You picked the right career. She is all that I despise to be. I have been pretty lazy writing my own materia...

BCC145 - My Road to MBA: The Brand Called You
http://bcc145mba.blogspot.com/2008/01/brand-called-you.html
BCC145 - My Road to MBA. Thursday, January 31, 2008. The Brand Called You. In this increasingly competitive world, it is important to differentiate yourself, to make yourself stand out among many qualified candidates, to be able to sell yourself, and most importantly to be able to build yourself. How do I get that dream job? What do I need to do? How do I make myself more attractive to employers? How do I begin? How should I think. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

BCC145 - My Road to MBA: The Waiting Game
http://bcc145mba.blogspot.com/2007/12/waiting-game.html
BCC145 - My Road to MBA. Sunday, December 9, 2007. Brutal is the word I would use to describe it. I constantly check my email, login Kellogg Status Check website and read all the web forums (especially gmatclub :) and articles that I can find to ease this painful period. Oh, how I wish I could fast-forward time. For me, it’s better to know the decision early so I can plan for my R2 accordingly. No word from Haas thus far about the invites for regular MBA applicants. BCC145 - My Road to MBA: December 2007
http://bcc145mba.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
BCC145 - My Road to MBA. Wednesday, December 26, 2007. I am happy to report that I have been admitted into Wharton! Sooooooooooo happy. I received the call at about 6.25pm on Thursday last week. So the caller must had gotten up very early . it makes sense since W tries to call every admit and I live in 12hrs EST time zone. The caller probably called my region first, then U.S., then Europe etc. Looking back, I guess my incorrect answer to the question 'how many [country] students at [an M7 school]? I cont...

BCC145 - My Road to MBA: B-School and Office Space
http://bcc145mba.blogspot.com/2007/11/b-school-and-office-space.html
BCC145 - My Road to MBA. Tuesday, November 20, 2007. B-School and Office Space. I found this artile on bschoolers.com. It's funny and in my opinion somewhat true. I am actually paranoid that an AdCom would read this enough that I deleted my GMAT Q/V breakdown, AWA score, and my location. But it's all a joke so shouldn't the AdCom be laughing about this as well? Bschool and Office Space. 2) Stanford - Pros: Small class size and focus on do-gooders leads to an incredible array of backgrounds and accomplish...

To MBA or Not to MBA: On motherhood and the MBA (also the truth about breastfeeding)
http://tombaornot.blogspot.com/2007/11/on-motherhood-and-mba-also-truth-about.html
To MBA or Not to MBA. Ruminations on the quest for an mba. Sunday, November 11, 2007. On motherhood and the MBA (also the truth about breastfeeding). So how is it to try to do all this academic and career madness with a 4 month old, you ask? Or, at least, that was what I was wondering last fall.). The good part about breasfeeding, aside from the superior nutritional value for your baby and the amazing calorie burning impact for the mom (especially when you have no time to go to the gym! BTW, I am an appl...

BCC145 - My Road to MBA: My First Admit!
http://bcc145mba.blogspot.com/2007/12/my-first-admit.html
BCC145 - My Road to MBA. Tuesday, December 11, 2007. Ladies and gentlemen, I am in at Kellogg! I received the acceptance email yesterday morning! Needless to say, I am thrilled! Kellogg usually releases admits through phone calls but it decided to email me instead. This makes sense though since I live 12hrs EST. The email also explained that she (the Ad Com) would like to call to congratulate me personally but she was unable to because of the time difference. Totally understandable my dear! Thanks river ...
