Buildings and Skies: July 2009

http://buildingsandskies.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html

Two of my favorite things to photograph. This blog has no publishing schedule, but new posts appear twice a week on average. Friday, July 31, 2009. Southwestern Bell Building, 1010 Pine Street, St. Louis, MO, 1926. I like how the newer building across the street echoes the stepped effect of the original. Those steps, by the way, mean that there are 17 individual roofs up there. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I think of Anne Tkach. What institutionalized racism looks like inside our system of education.

Two of my favorite things to photograph. This blog has no publishing schedule, but new posts appear twice a week on average. Saturday, August 29, 2009. Michigan vs. Illinois: Round One. Buildings and Skies: November 2009

http://buildingsandskies.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html

Two of my favorite things to photograph. This blog has no publishing schedule, but new posts appear twice a week on average. Sunday, November 29, 2009. My husband and I were both off this past week, and one of the things we did was visit Springfield, IL, to see the only home Abraham Lincoln ever owned. Astonishingly, I'd never been there despite growing up 90 minutes away, and the hubs is a history buff, so off we went. Dream a little bigger, darling

Dream a little bigger, darling. Chris [Pratt] never uses a spit bucket. When you do scenes where a character is eating, you eat and then spit it out into a ‘spit bucket.’ Chris just keeps eating. If you see Andy eating a cheeseburger in a scene, you should know Chris Pratt ate like 8 cheeseburgers. I love that guy.
