Sunday, March 30, 2008. Has it really been several months since my last finished project. Where did the time go? This is what's on the needles right now, I'm making a collared, long sleeve cardigan with cables in the front. It's a pattern from a back issue of Vogue Knitting magazine and the yarn is Cascade 220 in a dark brown. The back is done and the fronts are slowly growing. I'm excited to see how this one turns out. Sunday, January 21, 2007. Icarus Shawl - Finished! Icarus Shawl - Interweave Knits Summer 2006. Madil Kid Seta (70% mohair, 30% silk) - color: 463. US 3 (3.25mm) Addi Turbo circular. My first time using a laceweight mohair, I immediately liked it after knitting the first few stitches. I was never fond of mohair until I noticed this yarn last summer at the yarn store and thought it would look very nice for this shawl. It's my own fault, I underestimated the amount of yarn I needed. Wednesday, May 24, 2006. Rowan 4 ply cotton "provence" - 3 balls. Cast on 9 less stitches for the smallest size, went down one needle size. It's about time I finished something. It's been a while since my last completed project. Now I'm going to continue on my lace shawls again. I can use a break from the cotton. It's definitely not my favorite kind of yarn to knit with. But cotton makes perfect sense for the season. And I really like this shade of lilac. Here's a progress photo of the Kimono Shawl.
