Yet still to this day, the only person that can still really hurt me, has been my father. Why did he say mean things about my intelligence? I wasn’t good at math, yes. It’s infuriating, but there could have been other ways to handle it. I finally got a math tutor, who explained things far better than he did, and saved my parents the frustration and me my feelings.
