http://stitchalongwithme.blogspot.com/2015/07/fun-in-sun-photo-heavy.html
Stitch Along with Me. Friday, July 10, 2015. Fun in the Sun! We recently returned from almost two weeks in sunny California. (Little did we know when making these plans that it'd be hot and sunny here at home the whole time we were gone! At any rate, all 12 of gathered at the House with the Red Door. In Oceanside, California. Less than a stone's throw from the ocean, with easy access to the beach, it was a wonderful place for a family gathering. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner together. Congratulation...

Stitch Along with Me: December 2014
http://stitchalongwithme.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Stitch Along with Me. Saturday, December 27, 2014. Off the Needles and Just in Time! This prayer shawl was delivered today to a quilting friend who is undergoing cancer treatment for a very aggressive kind of cancer. Sure hope it lifts her spirits a little. I was happy to receive this photo the other day of all three of the Chicago gang wearing their knits. They are a happy bunch, aren't they? How can it be 2015? Check out what others are knitting at. Monday, December 22, 2014. And here we have Hollywood...

Stitch Along with Me: October 2014
http://stitchalongwithme.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Stitch Along with Me. Friday, October 31, 2014. A Finish, Some Stitching, and a Couple of New WIPs! This prayer shawl was finished last Monday and is on its way to its new home, hoping to bring comfort to someone who needs a bit of extra love right now. Finally, this quilt is going to get its binding. It's been so long since I've bound a quilt, I almost forgot how to do it! There are several more patiently waiting also. So far I've got one snowflake done, we'll see how far I get on the rest! After four l...

Stitch Along with Me: Our Latest Adventure
http://stitchalongwithme.blogspot.com/2015/08/our-latest-adventure.html
Stitch Along with Me. Monday, August 3, 2015. This past Saturday we returned from a quick getaway to Idaho. It was a very unusual couple of days! As you probably know, it's hot and dry here in the Pacific Northwest. Most people think all it does in Washington is rain. WRONG! East of the mountains the climate is very different, hotter in the summer and colder in the winter. The one constant, however, is "the mountain". Natives know THE. You can see Lake Pend Oreille in the distance. It was fun checking ou...

Stitch Along with Me: September 2014
http://stitchalongwithme.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Stitch Along with Me. Thursday, September 25, 2014. Happy Anniversary, Bob and Mary! Now that the gift has arrived, or at least I hope it has, I can show it on here. In between the knitting this summer I finally finished something I'd been working on for Bob and Mary for a long time. Their fiftieth anniversary gave me a goal for finishing, and I came close but was late because we had a last minute idea. You know how that goes? We were really happy with the results as well as their service. After we left ...

Stitch Along with Me: May 2015
http://stitchalongwithme.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Stitch Along with Me. Monday, May 18, 2015. Saturday afternoon we received a terribly sad phone call from Dick's brother, telling us that little Alex, one of our nephew's 6 week old twins, had passed away suddenly that morning. Earlier that same day we learned that my aunt, the last member of our parents' generation, was in hospice. She died early Sunday morning. We sang with our choir the choruses of Handel's Messiah. Friday, May 8, 2015. Off the Needles and Crazy Busy! This is the last Top This! This p...

Stitch Along with Me: August 2015
http://stitchalongwithme.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Stitch Along with Me. Friday, August 28, 2015. A Few Finishes and Still Celebrating! Gosh, here it is, closing in on the end of August with just about all the birthday and anniversary celebrations behind us. We had a short visit with friends from Colorado and then celebrated our REAL anniversary locally because we couldn't find a cat sitter. No matter. Our kids arranged for some chocolate dipped strawberries and 2 glasses of champagne to be delivered to our door. How nice of them! And we all get along!

Stitch Along with Me: January 2015
http://stitchalongwithme.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Stitch Along with Me. Friday, January 30, 2015. A Finish and My Favorite Models. Here's the finished jumper. That smocking was a lot of fun and is all done by knitting. I think it'd look great on a pair of mitts! When we delivered the jumper, Missy happened to be wearing a top the same color as the buttons! Here's big brother, who's almost always in a good mood, wearing his new birthday hoodie. Looks like size 3 fits pretty well. I am such a lucky grandma! Check out Patchwork Times. The town is lit up wi...

Stitch Along with Me. Friday, November 28, 2014. Off the Needles at Last! I finished another Seahawks hat and still have yarn leftover! They won yesterday, hurrah! So long for now, I'm off to the grocery story in between rain storms. Remember to check out the projects at. Tuesday, November 18, 2014. A Very Special Weekend! This past weekend we went to both places with Dick's brother and our sister-in-law, who were visiting from Palo Alto, and both places are wonderful. On a clear day we can see the S...

Stitch Along with Me: June 2015
http://stitchalongwithme.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Stitch Along with Me. Tuesday, June 30, 2015. How Does Your Garden Grow? Our Garden is the other thing that keeps us busy during the summer. It's been warmer and sunnier here than usual, and even the grass has been slowly edging out the moss! Flowers are doing well, but everything requires a bit of attention, right? As you can see, our backyard is pretty shady. The golden chain tree is done blooming now, but sure was pretty at the end of May. This one is my favorite though! Tuesday, June 23, 2015. The ne...
