Friday, July 31, 2015. Who Likes a Mystery? After reading several books that made me stop, think and ponder, I was ready for some fluff. Fluff to me is a nice cozy mystery. I was fortunate to snap up Katherine Hall Page's latest Faith Fairchild mystery, The Body in the Birches, last week when I visited the library. Thursday, July 30, 2015. Well I took some extra rest time this morning and slept in! I think I am slowly recuperating from my nana sitting. Here are the peg princesses I made for Margaret....

Nanaland: March 2015
http://arlenegrimm.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Reception at the Red Gate Barn. After the wedding we were all eager to get inside the barn where there were some nice heaters! The barn looked like a barn but without the animals and the uh, smells of a barn! I grew up on a farm so I know whereof I speak! Brittany's mother had done a nice job of decorating the venue. I think she used some Pinterest ideas. Lots of yummy brunch food to choose from. The Groom's Table with delicious Banana Pudding made by his new mother in law. But t...

Nanaland: School Days
http://arlenegrimm.blogspot.com/2015/08/school-days.html
Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Today is the first day of school! In my day we did not head back to school until the end of August and we had Labor Day holiday soon after! I am not sure the reasoning for starting school while it is still so hot! My Murray County friends do not go back until after Labor Day and that seems to be the best way to go in my opinion. Our son, Charles, celebrates his birthday on the 19th of August and often school started on his birthday! Here is Miss Kendall.ready for 4th grade!

Friday, May 29, 2015. The Birmingham Zoo hosted a Bubble pit last week and my grands had a chance to enjoy it. Here are Margaret and Baylor in the pit! Katy said that periodically a load of bubbles was dumped in the pit. This is a kid's dream come to life. Before heading off to the Bubble pit, the Hoova Grimms enjoyed the zoo. They have a year round pass as it is a good place to enjoy some family time. I love this picture of Baylor and Ben. Thursday, May 28, 2015. So do any of you remember this lady?

http://arlenegrimm.blogspot.com/2015/08/beauty-products.html
Friday, August 7, 2015. It seems a lot of bloggers are sharing beauty product tips this week so I will join in. By the way if you did not read Rhoda's post at Southern Hospitality on her changing styles through the years, you will enjoy a walk down memory lane. I have read Rhoda's blog for years and she had some good hair and make up tips on Wednesday's post. I never thought I would see the day when my hair needed oil added to it! This is another cream I use that my daughter gets for me at the dermatolog...

Nanaland: Round Two
http://arlenegrimm.blogspot.com/2015/08/round-two.html
Friday, August 14, 2015. Bear with Nana this morning as I share the second round of Back to School Pictures of my Hoova( Hoover) grands! The day before school started, Margaret made a cake to celebrate going to school for the first time. Katy made the decision to keep Margaret home rather than send her to preschool. Katy felt that she could teach her what she needed to know at home. Katy is right in her opinion that we have these little ones for such a short period of time, enjoy them! And speaking of Th...

http://arlenegrimm.blogspot.com/2015/08/it-works.html
Thursday, August 6, 2015. Yesterday my sister, Leta, gave me a call? What are your doing? She asked after I said hello. " I am sitting here pinning things on Pinterest." I replied. "What a hard life you have! She responded. And it is true! Here is my finished product. Now I do not know if it would work with a mixer with beaters but the paddle did a great job of tearing the chicken apart just right. And in no time at all I might add. I will never have to shred chicken by hand anymore! Thanks to all of you...

Nanaland: June 2015
http://arlenegrimm.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 30, 2015. One of my cousins was able to take a dream trip to England and while she was there she visited Tankersley, England. Why was that place so important to her? Well we are Tankersleys! Here in America we have our Southern accent with some "mountain" thrown in! Every time I hear myself on a recording, I am appalled. Do I really sound like that? When we lived in Louisville, Ky, I lost a bit of my southern accent but after living in NoAla for 31 years, I am back to my slow Southern Drawl.
