Purpose of Bywater Inklings

One of our special interests is to hear the creative endeavors of our members. Just as the original Inklings did, we enjoy having members read from their latest works. Our purpose is not to offer any kind of professional criticism, but rather encouragement. We also like to encourage one another in a sense of wonder. This includes reading of short stories, poems or essays written by others. Sometimes these readings spark deep discussions of a spiritual nature.

Is the founder of this group. He was inspired to start a group from reading about the Inklings weekly meetings in Humphrey Carpenter's book, "The Inklings". He has most recently been enjoying the novels of Charles Williams, Neil Gaiman, and Stephen King. Gary met his wife at the Imaginaruim tent at Cornerstone Festival. Is Gary's wife and co-founder of our group. She is a singer, songwriter and transcriptionist. About Us Our Purpose.
