The rescue is amazing , I had such a lovely chat with them after bringing a very under weight little girl hoglet , they said I could bring her straight away which saved her life! They work tirelessly to ensure these lovely animals make it through , hedgehog.

What to Feed and What not to Feed. First make sure there is a shallow bowl or bowls of water out in your garden. They are a thirsty animals and search out water. Feeding, again use shallow dishes, we use the cheap plastic pot saucers to feed and water. If you feed out or in the feeding stations they are the best. Make sure you pick up and clean the dishes every morning as it will draw flys and the eggs will be worms for the hogglets. Meat dog food, loaf type- never. Fish of any sort. again as above.

This is Lulabelle. she was very underweight. hungry and thirsty when she arrived. As people keep bringing us hedgehogs that they find wandering about, we thought we would pass on some information to everyone to keep hedgehogs safe. Always leave bowls of water in your garden wherever possible, preferably rain water! We use the plastic plant pot saucers (very inexpensive). This is mainly what they are looking for, especially when the weather has been dry for a while. Meal worms (48% protein and 40% fat).
