Where the Streets Have No Name:: Days of Future Past
http://henshallincambodia.blogspot.com/2014/06/days-of-future-past.html
The Title and Template. Being a Kid Again. Saturday, June 14, 2014. Days of Future Past. So why am I writing about an extremely American movie franchise (there were Khmer subtitles. some things just don't translate.) when my close of service is fast approaching, you ask? For starters: X-Men: Days of Future Past. As evidenced by the title, revolves around the idea of going back in time and making different decisions to affect the future. Not your simple time-travel as Ellen Page pulls some Inception.

Where the Streets Have No Name:: When Worlds Collide
http://henshallincambodia.blogspot.com/2013/12/when-worlds-collide.html
The Title and Template. Being a Kid Again. Monday, December 16, 2013. Experienced together over here and how real it really was. Was it all just a dream? Listening to a tour at S-21. One big family :). We continued further south to Kampot and Kep where we spent a few days swimming, exploring Kep National Park, walking the beach, visiting the crab market, relaxing, and eating heartily. Hiking in Kep National Park. Adventures abounded in Siem Reap! Circus performance of "Chills.". We lunched in the pavilio...

Where the Streets Have No Name:: When Feelings Invade.
http://henshallincambodia.blogspot.com/2014/07/when-feelings-invade.html
The Title and Template. Being a Kid Again. Monday, July 21, 2014. Since my last post, two important dates have come and gone: 1) the one-month left mark and 2) two full years in Cambodia. Both passed with numerous facebook status updates and posts from my fellow K6 cohorts (or at least those who are still around), but overall pretty tomahdah. Or at least conclude my service purposefully; saying the jom reap leiah. S and the jewup k'neya payl graowee. Trans: I hurt heart = my heart hurts = heartbreak).

Where the Streets Have No Name:: Closing Time
http://henshallincambodia.blogspot.com/2014/06/closing-time.html
The Title and Template. Being a Kid Again. Tuesday, June 3, 2014. I still have 2 months in Cambodia, but with all the pressure to wrap things up, I feel like singing this 1998 classic by Semisonic. Not really pressure, just a sense of approaching finality. Mainly since our close of service (COS) conference (although PC likes to call it the "continuation" of service conference since we are expected to bring our country of service back with us, figuratively, and share) was last month. And then there's me.

The Title and Template. Being a Kid Again. Being a Kid Again. This was written by fellow PCV Lauren and I have permission to re-post since I think it really speaks to the experience of being in a new place and struggling to speak the language, but having a sense of humor about it all. I hope to write my own version soon.). Top 10 reasons why being in Cambodia has turned me into a 5-year old:. 9 I am learning my ABCs … a.k.a my gaw, caw, go’s. 7 I need an adult to help me cross the street. 1 My Khmer voca...
