cameron eaton: October 2014
http://camsdrawingsandstuff.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 28, 2014. Finally got around to making a headboard for this pig. I measured the offset to the ears so thay would be evenly spaced about the centre of the board, marked my holes and drilled through. Except I think the ears are different lengths, so while they poke out the same amount, the head itself is not in the middle. Oh well, nice try, have another go. Then I figured, Fuck it! Don't over-think dumb shit and just trust your first instinct. Wednesday, October 22, 2014. At Caboolture fr...

cameron eaton: Pine Rivers Window Gallery
http://camsdrawingsandstuff.blogspot.com/2015/05/pine-rivers-window-gallery.html
Sunday, May 24, 2015. Pine Rivers Window Gallery. The call for entries was on while I was deep in prep for my Caboolture exhibition and unsure (or just speculatively hopeful) about what opportunities that show might bring, I was reluctant to commit any pieces from it until it was over. So of course I missed the deadline. Note to future self, what MIGHT happen tomorrow is not necessarily what WILL happen so don't let it overly influence the choices you make today. cameron eaton: March 2015
http://camsdrawingsandstuff.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 30, 2015. I was reading a little about Ray Kurzweil's singularity and the exponential advancement of technology and computing power. Ray believes we will mostly benefit as a species although he appreciates the potential for the misuse of power. In another article discussing Kurzweil's predictions the topic of physical augmentation was discussed and it occurred to me, for good or ill, it really signaled the end of humanity. So I'm using the floral motif of a funeral wreath, expanded and mult...

cameron eaton: February 2015
http://camsdrawingsandstuff.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 9, 2015. I knew it was wrong but i did it anyway. Well this is it. Everything is in, just a few labels to go and it's looking very much liked I imagined it would. Quite a few locals stuck there noses in and made comments, all pretty positive. Thanks to Zoe and Ferris in particular who put in a long day at the end of long and challenging week (for him). I really appreciate it and I'm thrilled with the way it's come together. Wednesday, February 4, 2015. Prices are Down and Staying Down.

cameron eaton: November 2014
http://camsdrawingsandstuff.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 29, 2014. Home on the Mortgage Belt. The first little split pig. This latest iteration strengthens the personal connection I have to that earlier idea. It resolves the sense that I am in, of but also somehow outside and looking in at the culture of consumption. Friday, November 21, 2014. The three sore heads have been re-sprayed, sealed, had their jewels glued in finally mounted on sunburst headboards. Really happy with the way these look together on the wall. cameron eaton: Tablet - Pig Human
http://camsdrawingsandstuff.blogspot.com/2015/05/tablet-pig-human.html
Friday, May 1, 2015. Tablet - Pig Human. I read somewhere, one artists approach to being judged, "Any selection process is more about where the selector's AT as an artist, curator, critic, judge, than it is about what YOU are doing as an artist. Don't accept rejection as a negative indictment of your work. It just wasn't right for that person at that time in that place where THEY'RE at.". What's the moral of the story? Saturday, January 24, 2015. This is a special blog post just for Duncan Mattocks. In the back face of the frame I also drive vee nails with a small framing tool. Framing can be very expensive but with limited tools you can do much of the assembly yourself. Bizzare Framing at Windsor. Wednesday, January 21, 2015. ASHBURN WILSON Update - Fabrication.
