MEK's Meanderings
http://meksmeanderings.blogspot.com/2012/04/i-write-like-h.html
Tuesday, April 24, 2012. I found this on Facebook thanks to Marius whose blog can be found here http:/ mariuscorner.blogspot.co.uk/. He was happy with his writing style being likened to the great Arthur C Clarke. By Mémoires, journal software. I have to admit I was pretty chuffed with Lovecraft. Though I assure you I differ greatly in mindset towards other things! Posted by Mary F. Woah Depending on what I posted for analysis, I write like H.P. Lovecraft, Arthur C. Clarke, and James Joyce!

MEK's Meanderings: February 2012
http://meksmeanderings.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 29, 2012. Takings Steps @ Oldham Coliseum Theatre. This was the final play on my current season ticket. Also the first one to be housed in the theatre's temporary home of The Grange Arts Centre. I wasn't sure this was going to be a play for me, the word farce had me a little worried. Some farce tickles my laughter nerve, a lot more leaves me cold. Each character had hilarious moments. How the cast kept a straight face is beyond me. Certainly the audience was doubled up. He alerted his...

MEK's Meanderings: Remaking Robocop? SPOILERS GALORE
http://meksmeanderings.blogspot.com/2014/02/remaking-robocop-spoilers-galore.html
Sunday, February 9, 2014. When I first heard of this remake I was slightly worried. I'm a big fan of the original film and couldn't think of a reason it needed to be remade. This is a film for our time. Compared to the original it has to be longer with more of an emotional arc. Hence the extra scenes concerning wife and family. Scenes I could live without. If there was no comparison piece I would probably have enjoyed this much more. I went in with my negative 'what's the need? 2 pawprints out of 5.

Marius' Corner: July 2013

Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blind-folded fear. Thomas Jefferson. Wednesday, July 24, 2013. So why am I telling y'all this? Here are a few other things I believe:. Government is necessary, but our government is very broken. Government regulation of business is, to a certain extent, necessary to prevent the abuses of workers that were rampant in ages past. This system, too, is horribly broken. And o...

Nerd alert, folks. If you're not into Doctor Who then might I suggest going to flurrious's. Blog and checking out her wonderful blend of snark, sarcasm, and despair. It truly is hilarious.
