The Hursts: Remembering May
http://rdhursts.blogspot.com/2015/08/remembering-may.html
Friday, August 7, 2015. When I say that the last few months have been crazy, that's the understatement of the year. It's been cr-aaaaaaaa-zzzzzayy! Whew I'm tired. It's been a lot of GOING from sun up to sun down. The small (tiny, bitty) short term rental we found was such a blessing, because it meant we got to stay together as a family (yay! We took a day trip up the midcoast to see Pemaquid Point. This is the lighthouse featured on the Maine State quarter. It was beautiful, truly. We had th...Our last ...

The Ence Gang: Bladen's 4th Birthday
http://heidience.blogspot.com/2014/10/bladens-4th-birthday.html
Our life isn't perfect. But it's pretty darn close! Monday, October 20, 2014. I have a 4 year old! Birthday breakfast, complete with sprinkles and balloons on the chair! I felt bad about all the baby stuff going on around Bladen's birthday, so we tried to make it special by sending him on a scavenger hunt! Deric drew a map of the house and I hid all the presents and had coordinating numbers he had to find. But he enjoyed the presents quite a bit too! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A Look @ The Lees.

The Hursts: March 2015

Monday, March 30, 2015. Dalyn and Devon Visit: Week 2. I introduced the girls to the joy that is Smitty's Cinema, where you can sit back and be pampered by waiters while porking out on cheeseburgers, all in a movie theater. We watched the new Cinderella movie and I loved it. I think I smiled through the entire thing. The next night we got a sitter and did restaurant hop through a few rad downtown Portland restaurants. Devon was at home with a migraine, we missed her! They had to roll us out of there!

Monday, March 31, 2014. Girl's Trip to Boston. Here's a few pics of the day. Boston is a beautiful city. It really is. Cheers.just for my dad. :). Here's the Sacred Cod inside the Capital Building! Paul Revere's House. So cool! I loved imagining who had walked those halls centuries ago! This was a tomb of the first white women to set foot on North America (supposedly). I wish I could remember her name. But she came over on the Mayflower. What a cool claim to fame! But so worth it. I love the USA! This gi...

The Hursts: December 2014
http://rdhursts.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 12, 2014. On November 4th, much to my complete surprise, my sister Davi showed up at my breakfast table. It was a total shock and surprise! She and Riley had planned and schemed for two months, and I had no idea. It was SO awesome to see her. Not only is it always fun to have my sister here, but it was especially sweet since she is leaving for an 18 month mission to the Philippines in January. How awesome that I was able to have two full weeks with her before she leaves. While Davi was h...

The Hursts: October 2014
http://rdhursts.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 30, 2014. At the beginning of October, we went to the Fryeburg Fair, the biggest in Maine. It reminded me of childhood. It's amazing how every fair, no matter where you are, smells and includes the exact same things. We looked at animals, people watched, rode a few rides and ate greasy fried food. Best of all, we were in the company of good friends. A winning combination! The best of the year. We had some fun in October doing the usual things. Loads of fun for these kiddos! Dragon face ...

The Hursts: January 2014
http://rdhursts.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 21, 2014. Time sure flies with three crazy kids that keep moving all day, everyday like a freight-train-tornado. He's such a chunker! His cheeks and thighs are absolutely kissable. He loves his brother and sister and watches them all day. In some ways, more kids gets easier,! He'll sleep from about 9-4 most nights, and some nights he'll even sleep until 6 or 7. I'm so grateful! Especially with a less-than-stellar-sleeping sister! I just want ONE to look like me. haha! The work and exhaus...

The Hursts: July 2014

Sunday, July 20, 2014. Photos with Riley by Ashley Scott Photography. My friend, Ashley Scott just moved to Portland, Maine and she's a photographer. Not like one of those people, "oh, I own a camera and take pictures of my kids and post them on instagram with a filter" photographers, but like a super talented, knows her stuff proffessional photographer. She is by far the best photographer we've ever worked with and were so lucky to get a few pictures snapped by her talented hand. Thursday, July 17, 2014.

The Hursts: February 2015
http://rdhursts.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 8, 2015. Winter made a later-than-usual appearance in New England this year, but is making up with it with fury. It started with winter storm Juno and it's been one storm after another ever since. Good thing these cute kids love to play in the stuff! The boys take care of all my shoveling. I'm so lucky. Because sometimes it's a pretty big job! Riley created a sledding hill/half pipe for the kids to play on in the front yard. This Olaf ice sculpture was a favorite! Ski dad. pharmacist...

The Hursts: Quebec City Girl's Trip
http://rdhursts.blogspot.com/2015/04/quebec-city-girls-trip.html
Monday, April 27, 2015. Quebec City Girl's Trip. When my friend Jennie suggested a girl's trip with myself and Ashley to Quebec City, I jumped at the chance. It was a whirlwind weekend, two long bus rides and only one real day in the city, but it was SO beautiful and worth every minute. If you're a mom, you know how a bus ride sans kids becomes a vacation in itself. Oh my goodness, the food! All of my crepe, omelet, patisserie hand-crafted French chocolate dreams came true. Regrets- The Parliament buildi...
