Whoever host the party and makes the arrangements gets to decide if its girls only or the whole gang gets invited. I enjoyed having the boys and the dogs. Step 1 Find a Friend or Group to Camp With. Wednesday, May 26, 2010. I live in South Texas just 30 minutes from Mexico and only 40 to South Padre Island. Growing up I spent plenty of time on the beach but we always went camping in the beautiful Texas Hill Country at Garner State Park. As an adult I had outdoor activities that I loved such as gardening and bird watching but I still missed camping. I would shame my husband into taking me about twice a century! They don't have internet here?

Step 3 Hunt for the Perfect Trailer or Tent. Wednesday, May 26, 2010. If you're going to Camp Like a Girl then you have to decide what type of camping suits you. I grew up camping in tents - sleeping on the tent floor, on sleeping bags, on top of an air mattress, next to my little brother who was only slightly housebroke (more later). As a 50ish menopausal woman who camps mostly in TEXAS I decided on a trailer - an airconditioned trailer. Hey we don't call this site Camp Like a Girl for nothing!
