When Librarians Nerd Out. January 20, 2017. Turner, Megan Whalen. (1996). New York, NY: Greenwillow Books. Warring kingdoms, fantasy, old gods. It’s been a year, but I haven’t stopped reading so here is another riveting book review for y’all. And it’s, surprise surprise, a fantasy novel. Megan Whelan Turner’s Queen’s Thief series has been on my radar for a long time. It comes up constantly on booklists I look at, and I have several friends who have read and loved it. THIS IS MY CATNIP. It is a very simpl...

Mama Bear and I were on the last leg of our Italy trip, exhausted, and ready for an extended period of rest. We booked a villa on www.airbnb.com. That was located on the side of a cliff next to a small private beach looking out into the Mediterranean Sea. No, he replied, I bought this shirt in Brasil. And I always grow nostalgic at th...

I’m going to skip ahead a little bit in my Turkey tales to the end of our first week in the country. I had been vacillating for some time about whether or not it was reasonable to spend a handsome sum of money on a balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia. I have to admit, it was something I thought about a lot, and. Our ride was a...

Wanderlust: Tales From a Bucket List. Anecdotes from around the world. Places I’ve Travelled. June 18, 2015. June 18, 2015. I love mirrors. They let one pass through the surface of things. The last thing I expected walking into the Mirror House Q8 was a feminist visionary whose work promotes the Big Bang Theory and other elements of cosmology and the Zodiac. Alas, expect the unexpected. She laughed and gestured to the sitting room around her with floor to ceiling broken mirror mosaics. After two years of...

Monday, July 27, 2015. Wedding Series: My Planner. So as you all know I am recently engaged! If you want to see the story of the engagement you can go to this post here! I decided I was going to do a wedding series on the blog to share my experience planning and all the fun that goes into engagement bliss! One of the first things I bought, naturally, is a planner for me to rely on for planning the wedding. I had no idea how many different types of wedding planners there were out there! I used the EC clips.

Friday, December 21, 2012. The amount of snow here is getting ridiculous. I can't keep up with the cold :( The roads are icy and it just makes me want to stay home and curl up into a ball and cuddle. Which is exactly what I'll be doing. Unfortunately, I went home for the holidays and my boyfriend is now about 300 miles away so I'm forced to cuddle with a gigantic stuffed dog (don't judge me). My new cuddle buddy. But for now, I shall sip on my cocoa catch up on my shows and just breathe. Until next time 3.
