Our adoption process starting from the very beginning. Thursday, August 30, 2012. Today we toured Yu Gardens and an area called the French Concession (I think- I got confused on this). Anyway, they are both absolutely beautiful! This was too funny not to post! EG is doing so well. She is happy, smart, and sweet! Posted using BlogPress from my iPad. Location: Yu Garden and French Concession (I think). Wednesday, August 29, 2012. Gracie is doing really well! I also have to say that Michael has been so wond...

Our adoption process starting from the very beginning. Wednesday, July 18, 2012. One year and getting so close! I am amazed when I think back to one year ago today when God so clearly put our feet on a new path leading to China! You can read about that here : http:/ isaiah43-5.blogspot.com/2011/07/you-want-us-to-do-what.html. Here are a few recent pictures I have received:-). Tuesday, July 17, 2012. Shower for Ella Grace. moor, please: February 2013
http://moorplease.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 27, 2013. Saturday morning started off with a fun lunch with the Hams. We met at Chuy's and devoured some delicious mexican food. Trying to get these monkeys all in one photo was impossible. But I managed to snap this one of Abby, Connor, Jack and Luke. Cora is out of the shot trying to climb up. PS She has no pants because her new thing is taking off her pants. GREAT. She is talking up a storm, repeating (or trying to) everything we say - so if I forget to post about Cora at 19 month...

A Long Road to Meet You: Now That We're Home
http://alongroadtomeetyou.blogspot.com/2012/03/now-that-were-home.html
A Long Road to Meet You. Friday, March 2, 2012. Now That We're Home. We've been home for two days now. It's still hard to believe the journey we've been on since leaving home a little more than two weeks ago! Playing the drum and bells. The leader of the band. Thank you for continuing to support us in this journey and transition. If we don't respond to an email or phone call, forgive us. We will eventually settle in and regain our ability to communicate well with friends. Posted by Brecca and Hank. May 1...

A Long Road to Meet You: Dare I Say Daddy Progress?
http://alongroadtomeetyou.blogspot.com/2012/03/dare-i-say-daddy-progress.html
A Long Road to Meet You. Wednesday, March 14, 2012. Dare I Say Daddy Progress? Yesterday, Hank left early in the morning to go to Huntsville and returned home around 5 pm. This is unusual, at least since Emalyn joined us, since he works from home and is typically in and out throughout the day. "They" say absence makes he heart grow fonder! Perhaps "they" are right! I promise I am not coaxing them to do this! They just love each other so much! Posted by Brecca and Hank. March 15, 2012 at 1:49 PM. February...

A Long Road to Meet You: One Month in Our Arms
http://alongroadtomeetyou.blogspot.com/2012/03/one-month-in-our-arms.html
A Long Road to Meet You. Monday, March 19, 2012. One Month in Our Arms. It's hard to believe Emalyn has been in our arms for a month now, but, at the same time, I feel like she's been with us forever. Quite a phenomenon, right? When I reflect back to her Gotcha Day.her lack of trust, her developmental level, her lack of interaction with us those first days.I see so much progress! We have made great strides in many areas! She loves being outside! It took some getting used to, but she loves to swing, play ...

Beauty for Ashes: January 2014
http://adoptedeternally.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 12, 2014. The last couple days. The last update we got said she weighed just under 16 pounds. That must have been with her sumo suit on because she came to 13.9 pounds on Saturday. I have a feeling she didn’t weigh quite as much as they said, and she probably lost some while she was sick. She’s making up for lost time now though! Ayla is doing a little better. Yesterday she said she liked Eva, which was an improvement from what she said the day before. She still has more meltdowns...Tuesd...

Sterling Creek Ranch: The Penny
http://coryandsarahrath.blogspot.com/2013/01/the-penny.html
Here we are, family of four, Cory, Sarah, Jack and Duke. Truly, we are five for we cant leave out Bailey, but in our hearts we will always be seven - we miss you Fisher and Garfield! Wednesday, January 30, 2013. However, I have decided this memory book item should live in the annuls of our family story. If not for my benefit, for Duke's so that one day if his child should decide to make the same error in judgement he did two weeks ago today, perhaps he will be ahead of the game in resolving it. Buddy, wa...
