VandeFamily: July 2008
http://vandefamily.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 31, 2008. This is an "older" picture - but one of my favorites! Well, let's try it and see what happens." So, we tried. She struggled for about 2-3 minutes and then latched on. For a good 5 minutes solid! Way to go, Scarlet! What amazes me is how determined she is to figure out and learn what she needs to do. Each task they give her, she does and does it well. I'm so proud! Then, she fell asleep very happy and very content. Happy One Year Anniversary. Here we are - One Year of Marriage!

Friday, September 19, 2008. I'm OK Now Grandma! When I was in my twenties, I started calling my mom after scary episodes (spraigning my ankle in Israel and going to the hospital for one). I would start the conversation off with, "I'm ok now, Mom." This has always stressed my mom out, for some reason. On Wednesday, I had to call my mom yet again. This time I said, "I'm ok now, Grandma," on Scarlet's behalf - since it was her with the scary episode. I had my mom look it up on line - and she said we need to...

When we got on the boat in Long Beach, this was the view from our window - the Queen Mary! We boarded on Friday and woke up Saturday morning in Ensenada. Here, Scarlet is watching us come into port from our window. Do you see the Mexican flag in the background? She's an international traveler - with a passport!

I mean everything! Tuesday, February 10, 2009. But honestly, I am feeling so much better than I have in months past. I really hope that all of the dark clouds are gone! So far, the skies have been looking clear! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Christine, Jonathan, and Micah. Eating Her Toes in the Bath.

Scarlet is now rolling over alot! She can roll from her tummy to her back, but that she's still not doing very much. So, she is still relatively stationary. We are enjoying it! We got this as a gift for Scarlet. She LOVES it! I think that it is amazing that she can hold on without much help from me. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

VandeFamily: August 2009
http://vandefamily.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 2, 2009. On Thursday, July 30 (for those keeping track, that was our 2nd Wedding Anniversary), we all went to the Wild Animal Park in San Diego. We were exhausted from Sea World the previous day, but it was a much easier park to go through with than Sea World. There was alot of canopy shade and not a bad walk. All in all, we walked only about 2 miles that day. Here's Scarlet at the entrance. One of our first stops was the gorillas, which she loved. And some beautiful parrots. You will noti...

Saturday, August 30, 2008. 5lbs 5.5 oz! Yesterday was pretty busy and successful. I first took her to the breastfeeding clinic (our first outing). They weighed her - 5lbs, 2 oz. I was so thrilled! I then breastfed her and they weighed her again. She had taken 75 ccs, which translates into 2 and a half ounces. Wow! This is more than we give her by the bottle! This coming week, we are also starting our Parenting Preemies group/class. I am excited about it. We will finally be able to talk to other p...In th...
