Saturday, May 30, 2009. Still at the Hospital. Jacob's oxygen needs are slowly getting under control. He is down to two liters (from four) and will hopefully be continuing to do better on his own. Audri has taken the 'night off' to spend some much needed rest at home with JD. She has spent the last week staying with Jacob at the hospital while I went to work and stayed with JD. The Cook Family: Surgery went well

Thursday, August 27, 2009. Jacob had his surgery as scheduled on Tuesday and it went pretty well, he has not bounced back yet from the surgery so he is still on the ventilator and in the PICU. He is slowly waking up but is still in a lot of pain so he is getting morphine among other things. Tuesday, February 24, 2009. Jacob now weighs in at 3lbs 8oz and is doing well. He takes between 2-3 of his feedings by bottle each day, and they should continue to increase this if he continues to tolerate it. He is scheduled to have an MRI of his brain today and will have a repeat hearing exam next week. He is now in a "crib" and seems to really enjoy it. Tuesday, August 4, 2009. All's Quiet on the Home Front. For those who do not follow us on other mediums, I am sorry. The boys have been out of the hospital for several weeks now and are doing well. Sunday, January 24, 2010. It has been a busy few weeks in the Cook. Household. Jacob has been getting stronger. And will often go all day without oxygen! He has started physical and speech therapy and we only had to go to Atlanta two Wednesdays this month. Audri and I gave him a haircut yesterday and he really enjoyed it.
