Supported Community Living began supporting individuals in community homes since June, 1989 when Jim and Mary Ellen Sharkey. Married residents of Park West Court Apartments, made it clear they needed a place of their own! They moved into an apartment in the Lincoln Village area with staff providing part-time support. HISTORY – Open Door Art Studio. October 10, 2007. Open Door begins in an office space of Columbus Center for Human Services, Inc. with eight studio artists. January 1, 2008.
