Technology Review: Augmented Reality. Asymp; 1 Comment. When we visited Japanese companies including JR East, DNP and Square Enix, no matter which type of companies we visited, they are developing Augmented Reality. Augmented reality has many applications, and many areas can benefit from the usage of AR technology. DNP showed us how they applied augmented reality on exhibitions, especially Spatial Augmented Reality. I had two experiences about how cool augmented reality is in Japan. The other experience ...

Hospitality | janethsu

Asymp; 2 Comments. A Japanese taught us how to wash our hands before we went to a temple. I enjoyed traveling in Japan a lot. One of the reasons is hospitality. The people in Japan are truly friendly and helpful. Not only at airports or stations but also other places such as restaurants, Japanese people always smile and give me a hand. Although the language barrier is big, I really enjoyed hospitality when I traveled around Japan. Larr; Previous post. Next post →. Thoughts on “Hospitality”. You are comme...

The Final Dinner | christopher RULES japan

My Study Abroad Japan Experience. May 29, 2012. This final dinner I took my personal time to reminisce over all of those things I listed previously and how America needs to implement some of those great aspects. It made me realize all the differences in our cultures versus the Japanese cultures, but also just differences in our own cultures among the group throughout the course of this trip. This was overall an eye opening experience I will never forget. Newer post →. June 6, 2012. June 10, 2012. I enjoy...

Your friendly neighborhood blog-man. Asymp; Leave a comment. Asymp; 1 Comment. Oh lawdy Korea’s got a Popeye’s. Asymp; 2 Comments. I would be the fattest person dead if there was a Popeye’s on MSU’s campus. Even though we didn’t get our tour we had a very pleasant talk with the ladies and they told us much about the university. As usual the day ended with us walking back to the hotel smelling Satan’s butt hole the whole way back. I’ Parked my car in front of the Gundam. In Giant Robot Awesomeness. Chris ...

Study Abroad in Japan and Korea. Technology Review: Smart Cards. June 17, 2012. Study Abroad in Japan and Korea. E-Sports Stadium →. I’Park at Yongsan station. June 17, 2012. We also checked out the cinema complex, which was featuring the latest gundam movie, Gundam Unicorn episode 5. Outside they had a promotional thing for the gundam movie were people were playing a gundam video game. We noticed a person with a Michigan State cap so we went over to say hello. What a surprise it turned out to be someone I knew who was in Korea on a different MSU study abroad program. Enter your ema...

Study Abroad in Japan and Korea. I’Park at Yongsan station. Korea University and Seoul National University visits →. June 17, 2012. One of these crowning glories of the trip was the E-Sports experience. In Korea gaming is almost a national pastime especially StarCraft 2, and it is taken very seriously. There are many teams which all have sponsors including the major telecom firms, banks, and even the Korean military with the Air force team. This entry was posted in Homework. Sam Fox's Study Abroad in Japan. Company Visits: Dai Nippon Printing and FutureScope/Digital Frontier. Final Reflections →. May 23, 2012. Tonight for dinner, we had Yakiniku. Similar to Shabu Shabu, there was an area where we all put the meat to cook it (all of the meat we received was initially raw). Instead of two bowls of soup to cook the meat, we had a charcoal grill in the center of the grill we shared to cook meat:. This entry was posted in Cuisine. Final Reflections →. Sam Fox's Study Abroad in Japan. May 25, 2012. My trip has finally come to an end. After an entire day of travelling, I’m finally home in Michigan. In reflecting on the trip, I’m astonished at how much was done, how much learned, and how much fun I had. Returning home was a bitter-sweet feeling. I can safely say I’d love to visit Japan again! As much as I hate to say this, this is the final post for this blog. I hope you enjoyed my tales of the trip! This entry was posted in Communication. You are commen...

Sam Fox's Study Abroad in Japan. Newer posts →. May 16, 2012. Today, we took a day-long trip to explore historic sites in Kyoto. After arriving in Kyoto station, we got on the bus and began our tour of Kyoto. The first sight was Kinkaku, the Golden Pavilion, which sat on the edge of a small pond.
