Sunday, July 6, 2008. Mixed Fruit Milk Shake. I took a handful of fruits from the frozen packet (tried to pick at least one piece of each fruit), a scoop of Vanilla Ice-cream, a cup of milk and a table spoon of sugar (add this depending on how sweet you want). Blended it all together in a blender and poured it into a wine glass. My son enjoyed every bit of it. Infact, he loved the shake as well as drinking from a wine glass :-). This is a sweet dish and it is called Kichadi, don't know why it is called so. My mom makes this once in a while, especially during the Ramzan fasting time. I have already posted a recipe for Appam which calls for grinding soaked rice. 1 1/2 cup (thick). 1 In a mixer grind the cooked rice with 1/2 a cup of water to a fine paste. 2 Transfer this to a bowl. 3 In the luke warm water add the yeast and let it soak for a few minutes. 4 Now add the Rice Flour, 2 cups of water and coconut milk and blend well.
