Plastic banned - shadows of echoes of memories of songs

Plastic banned - shadows of echoes of memories of songs. 11:31 pm July 1st, 2014. I have a big backlog of things I want to post about, but I'm going to grit my teeth and pretend it's not there so I can get on and post about Plastic-Free July. Of course, that doesn't mean I didn't. Any plastic. far from it. Since I didn't buy anything, I tried just to keep an eye on everything I used, and make a note of it all here. For a start, our house is. In it) Medicine seems to be a really plastic-intensive area and...

Subject No Subject - another parade of horribles
http://ortho-bob.livejournal.com/502619.html
Another parade of horribles. Dec 25th, 2013 at 9:45 PM. So it looks like no one is reading this, which isn't surprising as it's Christmas, as we hateful liberal atheists call it, and everyone is counting their blessing and falling asleep in front of Die Hard With A Hernia. I got two bottles of whiskey (Glenfiddich and Balvenie Doublewood), two pounds of uncured salami and a book of Sriracha recipes, so that's breakfast tomorrow taken care of. What about that Dr Who, eh? 9 comments Leave a comment. Hello ...

Forgotten torments of the schoolyard 1899-1968 - another parade of horribles

Another parade of horribles. Forgotten torments of the schoolyard 1899-1968. Jan 4th, 2014 at 10:51 PM. As well as the well-documented Wet Willy, Indian Rub and Chinese Burn, pint-sized ruffians of the schoolyard were also know to inflict the following:. From Invocations of a Rotten Childhood. Norris Sandcastle (University of Duck Gulch Press, 1993). 1 comment Leave a comment. Jan 7th, 2014 02:41 pm (UTC). Aren't Damp Cuthbert and Tepid Terrence in the Tory cabinet? Did your school have the 'frot? Fishne...

Measure of a holgram - Leckford writes
http://leckford.livejournal.com/22709.html
Measure of a holgram. Measure of a holgram. One of my cable channels is showing Voyager. The story closes with a scene of holograms digging away at a mine, literally with pickaxes and baskets to carry ore around in. Even pre-industrial miners had better equipment than this. Marooning the doctors there seem more like punishment than mere slavery. It is also unfortunate that the writers of Trek seem determined to demonstrate that future culture is incredibly trashy. Crowdsourcing - Nine Below

Crowdsourcing - Nine Below. Detailed results viewable to: All. The instruction to a lazy student is:. It's a gerund, surely? And if it's a lazy and possibly fraudulent coal miner, it's "show your workings.". I have never seen that in many years of being a lazy student. I realize what you're going for here, but it looks grammatically incorrect. Is it one of those Britland things? I would have said 'workings' too. Or their raw materials (workings? Pax! - Gemma's Journal
http://ar-gemlad.livejournal.com/137948.html
Sep 2nd, 2013 at 11:28 AM. Crossposted from facebook, because. Isn't on there afaik, and I'd be interested in her input as well as others! Was discussing the Opies earlier today (husband and wife team who collated children's rhymes etc.) and I found the wikipedia entry on 'truce terms' used by children (the most widespread geographically being 'pax'). It doesn't mention Yorkshire, and I can't remember any such word being in use. Tell me, oh. LJ peeps, did you have truce words? And where are you from?

His honest idiocy of flight). Words which appear unexpectedly, like new planets. Dreamt I was in The City and the City. Dreamt I was in The City and the City. That I was in Besźel, walking fast down a street, noticing people walking in a particular way dressed in certain colours (reds), and others walking in a different way - oh quick, un-notice them - while aping the first way of walking myself but not doing it well. I was running from something and clearly I was a foreigner here, and in breach! I am co...

Introducing Plantagenet Prendergast and the Onion Girls - another parade of horribles

Another parade of horribles. Introducing Plantagenet Prendergast and the Onion Girls. Jan 1st, 2014 at 9:21 PM. If I was feeling especially masochistic I might be impelled to do a "looking back over the last twelve months" piece here, but to be honest, 2013 sucked. Rush Limbaugh's atrophied scrotum. Through a dirty straw. While watching The Following. Etc So I'll skip that, at least for now. Save it until I need a proper full-length wallow. 3 comments Leave a comment.
