That's the Good Stuff. Exploring good food and other adventures in California by Sarah R. Squire. Wednesday, June 26, 2013. California Adventures: National Parks, Beaches, and Mind Blowing Farmers Markets. Our country’s first National Park is, to me, the genuine “happiest place on earth.” Since before she was born, I’ve been waiting to take my daughter there, and it did not disappoint (despite record high temperatures). Standing atop it, 3,200 feet above the valley floor. There are a lot here, but these ...

That's the Good Stuff. Exploring good food and other adventures in California by Sarah R. Squire. Friday, May 31, 2013. Recipe: Blueberry Spice Crumble. Memorial Day and blueberries, two welcome harbingers of summer, coincided for us last weekend. We took a drive north on the 101 past Gaviota to Santa Barbara Blueberries. Where the Little One and I had our first experience of picking fresh, truly ripe blueberries. (My husband also went, but he picked blueberries as a child himself.). So, on to the recipe...

Villa Cantina: December 2011
http://villacantinas.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 22, 2011. It is Beginning to Look A lot Like Christmas. These guys are hold center stage this time of year! The front door wears a magnolia wreath embellished with gathered moss, branches, pine and Manzanita. LOVE Trader Joe’s mini wreaths @$4.99. Add some gathered flora, and hang them on either side of Bossie and Bernie. The Living Room with it’s “faux” tree. Once again local flora and fauna add character to an otherwise “unnatural tree”. 160; What a deal! Martha Stewart Gift Tags.

Saturday, August 11, 2012. Bread Garden Bakery… Berkeley’s Loss Paso’s gain. When I heard the Bread Garden Bakery was relocating to Paso I asked myself why? 8220;The Bread Garden is a true artisan bakery that makes all kinds of excellent loaves of bread and pastries and, best of all, a crisp-topped morning bun that is one of the best coffee companions anywhere in the Bay area.”. Is it any mystery what has brought so many shop keepers and artisans from both the Bay Area and the Los Angeles basin? Owner D...
