A fairly common question in the world of VFX amongst people starting out is “What filmback setting should I use for matchmoving footage from my video camera? 8221; Well filmback isn’t quite the correct term when dealing with video (or digital) footage – seen as a digital image is captured using either a CCD or CMOS sensor – but for the sake of brevity I’ll refer to both as filmback. Do I need to know the filmback size when matchmoving?
