Back at the end of March, before all the glorious summer sun, we caught a Goldcrest with a ring on it from another UK ringing group. We spent a couple of hours this morning checking the Pheasant traps with Neil the keeper. We weren't expecting much so a Rook in the second trap was a pleasant surprise, not a bird that we get the chance to handle much.
